Parked at the Forestry carpark and followed the track till just past the top over easier ground beside a wall.Fellhugger13/09/2023
A somewhat mirky ascent of DH from the FC carpark. Easyish ascent with a mildly dodgy descent on wet grass at a good angle. A Freckles weekend away walk.ragudave06/05/2023
From the car park at NN771460 followed the blue route up the zig-zag track and continued past the View Point, bearing right and then right again up to the col; then along cleared ground to join the wall and through a difficult band of wind-blown trees to the summit. The descent was made easier by descending the steep slopes south to join the track at NN 750453 for a straightforward return to the car park.martin_hall14/04/2023
Late afternoon walk from forest car park (free). Followed the Blue Route past the Viewpoint. Towards the west end of a cleared area of forest I carefully got up to the stone wall on the ridge. Followed the wall to the tiny summit cairn. Back the same way in the dark! Solo.Dangerous Dave12/11/2022
With PJ and AJ. From the parking at Kenmore. Overshot the zig zag for the viewpoint, had to retrace steps. No evidence of a short cut path avoiding the long zig zag. Past the viewpoint, keeping right, eventually to the col at point 378. Then following the rough track by the wall dodging fallen trees. At the steep section around the 410 - 440 contours there were a lot of downed trees which had to be clambered over. Found the small cairn at the high point of the wall. Filthy wet weather on the way up, drier and a little brighter on the way. A tougher and slower outing than expected.Owen B23/02/2022
A circuit of the three tops of Drummond Hill from the Forest Scotland car park, taking the upper forest track past the Black Rock viewpoint and walking up through the trees on the edge of a forest break to reach the West Top, the rather fine stone-built trig and the OS 568m spot height by a tree on the S side of the wall. Then along the wall to the main summit of Drummond Hill, down through the trees to the track, which I followed to the mast on the East Top, visiting the rocky rushy and heathery tops.Nick Down127/12/2021
Route as per Gill's helpful description, but harvester tracks did not feel particularly nasty.willyross04/10/2021
A very wet afternoon. From the Kenmore FC car park on the blue route, continued past the viewpoint, next R fork, then sharp right at T junction, up to the bealach, at the junction between a cleared area and the trees. SW onto an obvious short section of flat harvester track, which is soon blocked, but soon join a very vague grassy track/path running on the N side of the cleared section, a few yards below and parallel with the wall and the trees. This curves round to meet the wall at a flat area, and joins a nastier, old harvester track next to the wall, deep in places and with a little brash. Followed the wall up into the trees, quite steep at first, on a faint path over a bump to a small dip, then up the wall to the summit, cairn on wall and cairn on the natural summit.Gill21/08/2021
Parked at the FC car park at Kenmore. Followed blue trail towards Black Rock view point then continued on track until directly below summit (was going to go off a bit earlier but lots of felling going on at my planned take off point. Went up steeply but fairly short then battled through the trees to the summit at the wall. On return headed down by wall to col before trig point then back to track. This would have been a better route up than the one I took. Then back down track to car. 5.8 miles 2hrs 13 moving time.JulieB16/06/2021
From Forestry car park at Kenmore, up zigzag tracks, then crossed cleared area to wall along ridge top, followed wall W to summit, returned same way. Cleared best crossed by following wall all the way from forest track at NN758458, reaching wall further W from S crosses difficult cleared area. With JAS.kdbennett09/05/2021
Drummond Hill then its west and east satellites along the forest tracks and animal trails. A pleasant Sunday afternoon option given the Government demands to stay within my County boundary.summitter22/11/2020
Up the main path past the viewpoint, stunning, then across the felled area of forestry and followed the wall up to the summit. Lots of tics, watch out!Nicky C12/08/2020
From FC car park at Kenmore (770460)(13:00), walked WSW for abt 1.5k. Track directly uphill from 758453 shown on 1:25k map doesn't exist. Took that line anyway up to track just inside felled area; steep but on a dry March day not too bad. Walked WSW then cut across felled area to wall on crest where it enters the wood. Followed that to summit. Back via Black Rock viewpoint then cut down through forest about 200m ENE of there to junction at 765458. Finished 15:00; 6k.dbb22/03/2020

Not sure my feet will ever be dry again. At least it was an adventure! With trimarc2Fionalevey11/08/2019
Easy walk along forest trails but very hard once we broke off to reach wall and find our way to the tiny cairn. With Fionatrimarc211/08/2019
With Brian R on the forest track from the C.P. Felled trees but easy to follow the dyke to the summit. No view.Play2End22/03/2019
From FC car park at Kenmore (NN 770460). Followed 'blue' track as several of the 'silver' track carved boar discs seemed to have fallen prey to small game hunters. On arrival at ridge crest, tracks made by the felling and extraction machine made for good progress W, until the wall had to be followed - makes a good 'handrail' straight to the summit. Tried to descend immediately S, but got very steep, so came back to wall.Isbjorn13/02/2019
Ran to viewpoint, then walked along east ridge – rough going through felled woods. Ran/walked down. Some rain, low cloud. Rounsfell07/11/2018
From f c car park. Then off piste over felled wood. Not fun. Followed fence and climbed over too many trees.VerySlowPlodder28/10/2018
Approach from the E - follow the wall (actually approached wall via a felled area).Adjacent christmas trees could do with a little pruning-secateurs should suffice. Went on to visit Trig (again following the wall). Trig in a clearing, with good views N & NW. A much better hill adventure than I anticipated. The viewpoint is worth visiting. (10km, 400m).ger06/09/2018
Forestry CP. Up past viewpoint to just past highest point of track to edge of felled area.Climbed to summit and recognised the top from earlier o-events. Lots of felling taking place.Coinneach22/08/2018

Usual zigzaggy route up from carpark. Tempted to take a short cut through the trees on the descent but played safe. Surprisingly no obvious direct paths.AndrewFinnimore04/03/2017

From Taymouth carpark. up road to viewpoint and then onto ridge which is not easy as it is full of windblown timber, and forestry track very rough. Fought my way all along ridge to trig. Not a pleasant summit. Then Dun CollichThearlaichdubh20/04/2014
Solo. From Tay Forest car park near Mains of Taymouth. Forest tracks and then east ridge. Fortunately forest much more open than lower down. Small cairn on a broken down bit of wall at summit. Checked a few nearby bumps but none higher.pwbellarby10/05/2013
Another fine December day. Followed the route from Taymouth forest car park described below, with the exception of short cuts through the forestry to shorten the distance - which I recommend with the usual disclaimers.Topographer5711/12/2012

Came up from SE through trees from forest track, then followed wall West to trig, chased by clouds of flies the whole way.agentmancuso30/07/2011
Hottest day of 2011 surely - from the Mains of Taymouth car park, zig-zagging up hill and past Black Rock viewpoint, from NN747452 went straight up through sparse, tall trees to wall and right short distance to summit. Ran back down to the loch via West Drummond.nordicstar24/07/2011
Started from Mains of Taymouth CP. Followed track past Black Rock viewpoint to NN 743 452 then climbed slope to col. Followed wall to summit a small cairn at gap in wall.Lionel Bidwell13/06/2010

With: hb sb ab; Parked in Forest Park car park in Kenmore and followed the forest tracks past viewpoint up to just S of summit. Used GPS to locate the actual summit by gap in wall. We never bothered with the trigpoint.Ian Baines03/06/2002
