I mean, high point is on the road… I wasn’t getting out of the car in that traffic! | ewangibb87 | 26/07/2021 |

From eastbound layby. Did the alternative summit a week earlier on route to west. | jimbloomer | 25/01/2019 |
Gorsy hummock on S side of busy A30, easily accessible from verge. Parking in lay by on N side of A 30 c 200 m west. We also visited the trig which involves a short thrash South through gorse and bramble. Best to approach tump first and then assess options for trig access. Foggy so could not see the alternative HP - OS SH of 149m c .5km NE- only noticed when writing up! | Denise | 21/10/2018 |
Gorsy hummock on rough access land on S side of the A30, only 15m from busy carriageway. Uninspiring in mist and gloom. | RichardM | 21/10/2018 |
Parked in a gateway on the north side of the A30 just W of the summit. Over the gate into a pasture and the trig is visible on the far boundary. No problem at all. The top is pretty flat and the far side of the trig is a bit more difficult. Had a bit of a walk about as other spots could possibly be higher than the trig but not significantly so. | clivevilla | 12/11/2017 |
An easy bag from the A30 lay-by as some of the fence is down and the vegetation hasn't grown much so far with Iain Brown. | Dugswell2 | 12/03/2017 |
Visited on return journey from Scilly primarily to bag the trig. Area to W heavily fortified with gorse/bramble/fern etc., not to be attempted from this direction - I have the scars to show for that folly! Easy from road near the 149m spot height. Then onto the pillar along field boundary, if that's your bag. | jonglew | 21/09/2014 |
Parked in a lay by on very busy A30. Over a Cornish hedge, trudge over deep prickly gorse to the column 8050 in view from the road. Newquay and wind farm at Carland Cross. | arranc | 04/04/2011 |
Clem top with trig in field by VERY busy & dangerous A30 with constant traffic. I could not cross for ages. D got a great photo of me marooned. Spot height is higher on road but trig feels higher. The wind farm across road featured in a Geography GCSE exam. | Chris Pearson | 10/08/2010 |

overcast, pretty close to roadside | vegibagger | 20/07/2001 |
Taking the road as the high point. Driven over it 1000's of times. Now a building site and will vanish due to A30 development - Trig Point looks like its been buried in a pile of earth! | BobHancock | 01/01/1981 |
