I think I did this one from the wrong road. I did it from the south which is steep and a little difficult to start. From the west you would have much less ascent.clivevilla07/03/2023
Parked on road that goes out of the lovely Holberton at its bend. Quick up and down.Adrian18/07/2022
6th hill of 9 on a 37.8km route from Moorhaven village to Ivybridge station, climbing Ugborough Beacon, Stalldown Barrow, Hanger Down, Tod Moor and Dunstone Hill, descending ESE along field edge to the minor lane then over hedge to follow brook changing to N side then over brook onto Forest track leading to minor lane then muddy green track to another lane, this time heading NE continuing on track, becoming a deep sunken pool, necessitating another hedge climb into pasture, over gate and then past abandoned barn and then directly upto the summit, checking either side of hedge. Descent SE via pasture to woodland using tracks at times to reach dilapidated footbridge over the Erme, continuing to Orcheton Hill....Dazingdale03/02/2019

Friendly farmer in tractor gave permission and said there were lovely views- except when clouds were low as today. It's a short if muddy walk from the Village Hall in Holbeton ( parking) . The High point is a on a c2 m high earth bank/ hedgerow but the grassy pasture either side may be more natural. It's hard to say which side of the hedge is higher and what is bank or ploughed.Denise 27/01/2018
Good parking at Holberton village hall. Up lane then farm track with permission from farmer to the summit field. The Farmer referred to the hill as Castle Bank and indeed the summit is crossed by a 1.5m high earth bank with hedge. 3 options for high point, top of bank (highest), base of bank on its S side (next highest but possibly also man made), Domed pasture in field on N side which feels the most natural summit.RichardM27/01/2018
Parking at Holbeton village hall SX61485024. Game of cat and mouse with farmer cutting his hedges. HP either N or S side of high banked field boundary; pastures either side. Checked both sides, both seemed same height.jonglew27/01/2017
