I reckoned the raised area in the hedgerow to be a good contender | Colin Crawford | 14/10/2021 |

Went to old HP at earthbank and then new HP a short way along track near house. Not sure it should be called Mills Down anymore. | PeterD | 29/02/2020 |

As jonglew and agree that the summit lies between the earthworks. | Chris Peart | 27/01/2015 |
Parking in roadside dirt pull-in. Accessed field to S where ground rose imperceptibly to a point between circular and linear earthworks, approx 55m into field. | jonglew | 29/09/2014 |
well anything done yesterday has to be better done twice, especially if its a full km and a half walk from the Ammerdown centre to the NW and also bringing along son Jamie and three others, Bruce, Lukca and Henry to introduce them to the Mells Down tumulus and then back for a slightly late lunch. | vegibagger | 02/08/2014 |
11th annual summer visit in a row to the Amerdown centre just to the north, whose ostentatious folly monument lies on the 180m contour ring.
If coming from the A362 road down W on the little yellow rd on the 1.50k from Buckland down, there are various minor pull off options on left and right bfore road slips downhill. on left, south side just before it goes down hill there's a gate one can climb and back 200m in the field of long grass to the slightly elevated northern side of the faint tumulus ring which I feel could be the highest point of this very flat area. | vegibagger | 01/08/2014 |
On a road, no views, nothing of interest don't bother stay at home. If you must, then there is parking east at entrance to timber yard. | Hillsidenick | 14/07/2013 |

Sawmill/field edge; no view. rdside [old S summit]. Returned 28/5/2020 for N summit: NE side of track possibly natural HP; Lidar summit seems to be a pile of rubble in trees 5m further to NE, behind dense hedge. Possibly higher natural ground is field track to E, ST 71263 53737; rather level area | RHW | 06/06/2003 |
