drove round from rams down and parked in residential area. Straight up and down.stagger onward02/03/2024
From the residential road through a cut through into quite an extensive area of undulating woodland.clivevilla21/01/2023
From Ramsdown Hill - initially headed to but where the PRW crosses the dual carriageway hoping for an underpass! Clear signs stating how dangerous the crossing is so headed back to cross at the Avon Causeway. Pleasant stroll to the trig. Usual dog walker failing to keep their dog on a lead despite the signs!Buck04/07/2022
Trig Point, and not a Tump, but un-ticked as it adds one to my Tump total!!!)tim74717/03/2022

Tried to do this from Ramsdown Hill but where the PRW crosses the dual carriageway there’s no underpass and the traffic would make it very dangerous, so drove round. A lovely spot!Swindon Bagger07/04/2021
Easy walk from housing estate. 2016 OS map shows the summit and trig to not be on the access land, but on the ground there are no barriers to free access and the paths to the top are clearly regularly walked.ijpowell28/07/2020
Nice hill and ridge down to Christchurch Actual top seems to be east of trigChinnockC04/02/2020
Parked in the housing estate. Hottest day of the year so far but lovely walk up. High point and trig point visitedekm29/06/2019
Pleasant walk from Hillside Drive. Excellent viewpoint at the top.Campbell Singer25/05/2019
A lovely popular sandy ridge amongst pines with many candidates for a high point, all wonderfully confused by several tumuli. Not that it matters really as Tump status is far away since the col was found to be happily intact and had not been removed by the main road cutting to the north.Visited both ridge end trigs. From Wiki :During World War I a complete set of trenches were built on the hill and surroundings including firing, communication and second line trenches; observation and machine gun posts, dressing stations, latrines, mine shafts, and various rooms and strong points. Soldiers were trained in trench warfare and construction there prior to being sent to Flanders. The area was also used during the Second World War, for tank driving practice.Anti-aircraft guns were also positioned there to protect the aerodrome at Hurn. After the war, a nuclear bunker was built into the hill by the Royal Observer Corps to report on nunclear fallout.-sobering.Chris Pearson24/03/2019

Bagged trig and sTUMP summit from Hillside Drive before finishing the day on Ramsdown Hill.Dugswell229/10/2016
Parked in residential area on Hillside Drive. Pleasant walk on sandy paths through mainly conifer woodland to a pronounced mound approx 40m NE of trig pillar.jonglew29/09/2015
15.44 late afternoon Sun streaming through the trees...noise from theA338 dual carriageway immediately below. Feel sure that this hill ought to have tump status. The high point is about three metres higher approx 50 metres to the NE of the beautiful setting of the trig pillar, photographed in late afternoon sunlight .vegibagger19/01/2015
trig not at HP, a few metres away, worth a trot along the ridge to the south to ensure getting the HPas a few candidates plus its a great ridge.Adrian29/03/2014
