If you're prepared to limbo dance and wearing nettle proof clothing the fence has the lower strands of barbed wire cut at SU 10519 68862. My final region 39 hill.Martin R20/08/2023

Walked up from Stone Avenue (B4003). Summit is in middle of arable field.Ramblingpaul24/07/2019
Large layby on B4003 to E for visiting ancient Avebury Stone Avenue. F/p from SU 1083.6910 heading SW to just past crest of hill then handy hole in fence into summit field. Tractor lines through crop to trigpoint, unsure of highest point though.Aye Jimmy21/07/2019
Made circuit from Avebury via Ridgeway and The Avenue. Bagged this hill through rolling access land. Summit offers delightful view of Silbury Hill. On way down to Avenue chanced on wishing tree. Added fallen ribbon and petitioned the fairies to see my family well. All the added bonuses of a fine country walk.Pete West19/02/2019
2nd of 5 tops on a circular walk from Berwick Bassett with Lesley, climbing Windmill Hill then using White Horse trail to Avebury, exploring the stones, museum and cafe before taking the Stone avenue out and then we used the gate following the field edge to climb close to the summit before i ventured off to explore the trig and concrete mound then i walked along the breadth of the field as it was very level; excellent views to Silbury hill. We descended to a gate with a path leading to Silbury hill, my next target...Dazingdale22/09/2018

From the Stone Avenue along fence line between fields of yellow rape and then along ridge on tractor tracks. Levellish broard ridge difficult to determine high point due to crop.RichardM31/03/2017

Short walk from the West Kennet Long Barrow layby. I realised on the way up that I must have been there, or at least close, on a previous walk from Avebury to Silbury Hill via the stone avenue. Returned via Silbury Hill.Herbert Anchovy17/11/2015
Arable field, to S of trig. Fan views of Silbury Hill then dropped to the stone procession..great!Adrian30/05/2015

10 mile run with L & dogs from Winterbourne Bassett via Avebury (fascinating). Muddy path and rough climb into field. Great views of Silbury Hill.Chris Pearson17/02/2015
Rewalked with Jacqdaw - as a slight detour from Amesbury Walker's Avebury Prehistoric Trail. Much easier at this time of year than summer as summit & trig are in an arable field. Easiest approach is from the bridleway to the west, up the south side of fence and through gate at top. Base around reservoir seems slightly higher than nearby trig.Hillsidenick03/12/2013

Trig. Revisited 28/2/2020 in passing, but of course had walked past summit last time en route to trig. The old (S) summit is obviously lower. From E.RHW19/03/2005
