HP seemed to be at the trig pillar, there may be some higher ground in the garden a few metres W or SW but all seemed to be worked.jonglew18/04/2018
Went to pasture summit at 56786 28288 and trig which is in a garden next to the windmill at 57019 28321. There were workers on the windmill who told me the owners of the garden were unpleasant but there is a gate through from the windmill so I took my chances.clivevilla17/04/2018
The summit windmill is at Feb 2015 undergoing major renovation with lottery funding. I spoke to a scaffolder on site who explained it was a tricky shape to work on! Cleverly each of the four sweeps (sails)has 51 shutters which as the wind speed increases automatically open to allow the wind to spill through,to maintain a constant speed.Nearby is Argos Hill Tunnel on the old railway (Cuckoo Line). It is listed on 'Subterranea Britanicca' whose members visit man-made and man-used underground places - bagging goes underground !Chris Pearson01/03/2015
