Parked at Y junction at edge of field just S of Michelgrove for antic-clockwise round of Blackpatch Hill, Harrow Hill, and Barpham Hill, using RoW where possible. | Minto | 02/07/2023 |
Still got a strange mown patch by the trigpoint. Chalky and horsey. | Martin R | 16/03/2023 |
Parked at end of public road and used path past Myrtle Grove, striking up through fields to trig and high point. The square mown area is like a bowling green, fenced off by electric wires - bizarre. | Colin Crawford | 18/10/2021 |
Excellent downland views; HP near trig. Unable to explain fenced off mown patch nearby. Breezy sun. From Highdown and onto Church Hill via Monarch's Way. Diving Red Kites. | Denise | 29/09/2021 |
Easy access from bridleway to W. Grassy field with levelish summit with trig, fenced off area of neatly cut grass and fine Downland views and a distant IoW. Low grassy mound 12m WNW of trig pillar possibly a tumulus. Red Kites and Swallows. | RichardM | 29/09/2021 |
Parked on road to Myrtle Grove Farm. Barpham Hill (trig and summit), Harrow Hill and Blackpatch Hill. | PGCE | 29/11/2020 |
Findon Hike (bagging Barpham Hill, Harrow Hill and Blackwatch Hill) | PhilipChaston | 28/11/2020 |
15.00.. Not nice, slippery chalky path + light drizzle and windy deteriorated into heavy soaking. Slipped and fell heavily on my side on way back, slimy chalk mud all over my trousers and jacket | vegibagger | 04/10/2020 |

Chantry Post- Blackpatch Hill- Myrtle Grove- Harrow Hill- Chantry Post. A pleasant 5.5 mile walk on a sunny, clear winter day. Went up NW side from TQ092100, along a thin trod; down from HP directly to bridleway. There is permissive access from TQ092100 to a patch of countryside stewardship but not the summit. The Angerming estate discourage trespass; signs to that effect at Chantry Post. Good views E from top. | pwheeler | 02/12/2019 |
SOLO. Made use of the long-stay car park in Storrington (free only on Sundays). Took Monastery lane and then the footpath past Kithurst farm into the woods. Up the hill and then onto the trig point. Along to Chantry Hill and then on to Blackpatch hill via corn fields and footpaths. Cracking views from the top of Blackpatch Hill. There is still a fenced off area which is apparently for a model plane flying club. Off down to Myrtle Grove farm and round to Harrow Hill. Through fields of goats and Lllamas before heading back to Kithurst and down via Chantry hill. Plenty of wildlife around: kites and hares. I should have paid more attention to the time whilst admiring the sunset from Kithurst as my last 30 minutes of descent was made more challenging in the dark! | Buck | 13/10/2019 |
Amberley - Barpham Hill - Harrow Hill - Blackpatch Hill - Church Hill - Highdown Hill - Goring-on-Sea. | Mark Jackson | 14/09/2019 |
Up through farm and stables then into field and up to trig. Fenced off area still present but unsure of it's significance. | Dugswell2 | 21/03/2019 |

From NW along BW with diversion to trig and HP | PeterD | 11/05/2017 |
A continuation of a walk from Kithurst Hill via corn fields and footpaths: onto top with its roped-off area, keeps us guessing I suppose! Really good views to the IOW today as well as Surrey Hills to the north; vibrant early-evening colours made this a walk well worth doing. | JOHNS | 06/08/2016 |
As Jonglew reports there is an odd cricket pitch area next to top which is surrounded by electric fencing. Not big enough for cricket and no cut strip for wicket but what else can explain it? Top is just 5 mins off track | trimarc2 | 15/06/2016 |
Parked at N end of Longfurlong Lane. RoW mostly, then out onto sheep pasture. HP a little S of trig pillar in fenced-off 'cricket pitch'. | jonglew | 15/03/2016 |

On a sunny May evening from south, after rain giving fresh sparkling views of the green Downs. In 1922, John Pull a victim of a WW1 gas attack discovered here one of the very few Stone Age settlements in England. John Pull wasn't an archeologist but a gramaphone salesman and his work was sneered at and lost and the site was bulldozed - Time Team conducted a dig here to to reassess his work and found ... nothing conclusive in the time devoted | Chris Pearson | 15/05/2015 |
Followed public bridleway through stables / farm then continued to the Trigpoint at the summit. | G4TSQ | 26/01/2015 |
