O: Nearby circular planting of saplings will make a nice summit feature in time. HP looked to be 30-40m NE of this clump but difficult to determine a precise point

easy with handy lay by and ROW from NNEMark Sims18/02/2020
Parked in Clanfield and then off to Hinton Down to admire the observatories and the vineyards. Then using footpaths, Monarchs way and Harrowgate Lane to walk a 'circular' route to Broadhalfpenny Down and back to the car. Wet, Windy and very enjoyable.Buck29/09/2019
In domed grassy field with extensive downland views accessed via gate from track where the trig is. Layby where footpath joins road at junction to NE. The Bat and ball pub nearby will be of interest to cricket fans.Denise 02/09/2019
With Denise, copse of young trees with seat on summit, high point to its NE.RichardM02/09/2019

7 hour & 7 tops circular walk from Clanfield with L. Lost the dog or rather she lost us for a while in the long grass on the summit and also missed the trig pillar partly due to it being just on the next map and hard to see on my 1974 OS map that Im still using having bought it new on a family holiday way back then.Chris Pearson28/05/2015
Public car park at rear of Bat and Ball PH. Used Monarch's Way LDP to trig pillar then over fallow farmland to hill summit.jonglew05/11/2014
