Probably as PGCE, except scrambled straight up steep slope from car to much more level area. Easily up through open trees to summit.Minto03/07/2023
Parked in the woods at The Dover and up through Angmering park farm and Wepham woods. On completion headed back to Burpham, Warningcamp and through Arundel to Rewell hill via Arundel park. Busy in Arundel as it was the Farmers marketBuck15/04/2023
As others parked in the Whiteways car park and walked on the road verge to the FP at TQ 0012 1053. Followed the FP which climbed easily and avoided steep scramble over earthworks. Where the FP diverges at SU 9992 1021 there is a marker-stake. I took the wide forestry track which followed, but well above, the earthworks. Kept looking in direction of highest point and eventually followed a game-trail under the tree canopy to the highest, rather indistinct, point. Reversed route to return. Easy access, no mud, no brambles, no nettles and grass no higher then ankles.Meanderer07/09/2022
As PGCE; easy parking and walkDC11main15/05/2022
Started from Bignor Hill CP and did a circle of Glatting Beacon, Farm Hill, Barlavington Down then down into Sutton through Bignor to West Burton. Up to Westburton Hill and then down to the roundabout to pick up Rewell Hill (easy approach from A284 via a cleared track). Slogged a mile up a very muddy track (thanks to some logging) and thought I should finish via Bignor Hill despite it's lack of qualification. A very enjoyable 13 miles in 4 hours 20.maltloaf21/01/2022
No summit this time -but 60 minutes of wonderful frantic score orienteering with L (on Elizabeth Brown memorial Xmas score event). Heavy rain, thick mud, brambles !- all part of the fun - less so the long drive in on rough potholed muddy forest track to the boggy parking, and a team of pushers!.Chris Pearson27/12/2021
On a walk out of Bury taking in Westburton Hill as wellPhilipChaston30/10/2021
Parked on verge on N-bound A284. Walked S until verge narrows, then up into trees to find a path running parallel to road. South to firebreak shown on 1:25k map, and a bramble-free route to summit. Easier than expected, once I'd found somewhere to park (car park was closed).PGCE12/01/2021
Summit is a levelish area of cleared trees, edged with beech. Parked at Whiteways roundabout to north which was unexpectedly locked at 6 pm but you can park on the verge. Bit of a thrash through undergrowth from road- got several sheep ticks wearing shorts!Denise 20/07/2020
Started off on RoW footpath on N side of hill then directly up through open woodland with Yews and not too bad under-storey. Cross several ancient defensive earth works before reaching levelish summit of clear felled trees. High point just in the beeches on the N side of cleared area. Nice cut mark and bolt on S turret of Whiteways Lodge.RichardM20/07/2020
Lovely first hill bag of the year parked at selhurstejjohnstone03/01/2020
As Peter D and Ian Baines, but needed to use tracks to go round to the NE side where the ride wasn't bramble-choked. The date says it- I'd recommend make a nice hour of this by starting at the Fairmile and going in early May when there is less vegetation and the violet-filled rides and clearings are a good place to enjoy scarce butterflies that do well on the hill.pwheeler04/09/2019

With: solo; From Whiteways CP, used footpath SW the SE then wide break with lots of bramble etc up to high point on edge of deciduous woodland free from all the brambles!Ian Baines14/04/2018

From large car park by roundabout to North. Along road and then FPs through woods before heading NE along fire break through brambles to HP.PeterD07/07/2017
Parked in the free car park at Whiteways roundabout on the A29. The small lay by to the south, mentioned by previous baggers has been filled in. Followed row then up steep bank to summit area. Very flat, had good stomp around to make sure of visiting the top. With JT.Sprog13/04/2017
From due N, small dirt layby on A29 just S of roundabout. Up through woods, undergrowth and brash a hinderance in places, across surprising steep earthworks. HP in mainly deciduous managed woodland.jonglew04/02/2016
From se, small layby. Level deciduous woodland n side of grassy rideRHW23/01/2016
