Solo ascent - parked near Windmill walked down bridleway nearby to 85m contour and then back up and along road to trig and HP in field. Then visited the alternative summit near windmill. Checked near reservoir but locked gate and guarded by dogs. Pretty sure from my ramblings that arable field near trig is highest point or possibly the mound near the trig | pdantic | 26/01/2022 |
Good parking to west, along road to trig point and into claggy mud field and to HP. Back and around outer perimeter of windmill. | PeterD | 21/01/2022 |
Easy bag from road. Trig and then into ploughed field beyond. | Campbell Singer | 06/01/2022 |
Trig is on south side or road in undergrowth, easily visible in December. HP is either by trig or in adjacent field- thick ploughed clay- or by restored windmill at crossroads- Ground here seems very level (grass) so did not enter in these covid times. Sign says, Tel: 07985 475546 to arrange access to windmill. | Denise | 13/12/2021 |
Free NT car park on W side of Outwood Common. A squelch around the levelish windmill contour then down the lane to the other 120m contour ring with trig pillar and adjacent field of roughly ploughed sticky brown clay soil. | RichardM | 13/12/2021 |
Dormans to Salfords. Extended a walk originally planned to terminate in Horley to include a revisit to this Tump. Variety of spring flowers in Hornecourt Wood was particularly pleasant. | Smudge | 23/04/2021 |
Parked near windmill. Visited trig (and small mound beside it), highpoint in field (on a tramline) and highpoint near windmill. | PGCE | 27/02/2021 |
Godstone - Tilburstow Hill (new summit) - Gay House Hill - Godstone. | Mark Jackson | 22/12/2020 |
Part of circuit on pleasant rural footpaths: Redhill-S Nutfield-Bletchingley-Outwood-S Nutfield-Redhill. Visited trig point and boundary of windmill. | rjf35 | 31/05/2020 |
Visited trig pillar by the house, had a quick wonder round the adjacent field and made my way over to the windmill, making a circuit of the property. Neither particularly remarkable as the area is so flat no real views are possible. | lerritt | 15/03/2020 |
Visited bluebell wood by trig pillar | cjo | 13/04/2019 |

Circular walk Nutfield - Tilburstow - Outwood. Hardly noticed it was a high point but the windmill (which is currently for sale/sail) is the big clue! Decent area, The Bell PH a welcome resting place. | JOHNS | 20/07/2018 |
Almost a drive over summit- just got out of car to visit trig and slightly higher ground to S. I suppose this is higher than the base of the windmill in Outwood? | pwheeler | 19/11/2017 |
Bagged as YSM0416 Outwood. Almost roadside bag in woodland just off the road. #6 day#5 Total day#4 #13 Total day#3 #12 Total day#2 #11 Total day#1 #13 | thejackrustles | 22/08/2017 |
Short road walk from Windmill. | rhalstead | 13/05/2017 |
From Outwood Common car park before walk to Bletchingley | squeegs | 24/03/2017 |
Roadside parking trickie, didn't get as far as the car park! Walked back to trig, which appears to be the HP, opposite the Gay House. | jonglew | 16/02/2016 |
Tricky parking adjacent to trig. Easy parking by windmill. | destaylor | 25/01/2016 |
Parked at the National Trust car park and walked past the windmill along the road and up the slope until we saw the top. No sign of Judy Dench though. | steverd | 16/11/2015 |
Parked at the National Trust property and walked along Gay House Lane past the windmill until the concrete marker was seen from the road on the left hand side. | Dragonzilla | 16/11/2015 |
10 second trip from road in dark, simple push through trees opposite house. Judy Dench, known for her role as M in James Bond films, lives close by. | Chris Pearson | 12/01/2015 |
Godstone - Salfords. Unbarriered short trail now exists between road & trig however I suspect that windmill contour ring 1/4 mile to W contains higher ground. | Smudge | 23/02/2014 |
