A short easy wander into open woodland from the minor road. In medieval times forest glassmaking was a speciality of this western weald, using local sand and potash made from bracken or wood ash and large quantities of fire wood.Chris Pearson08/03/2015
On way to Black Down with Gina from Lurgashall. Approached from south side of Tolt Coppice on obvious FP off Hillgrove Lane. No summit feature other than bramble patch. Continued north on FP which exits on to private drive of Tolt Coppice Farm, so unlikely to find if walking down Hillgrove Lane from Hillgrove.mntainman05/01/2015
