Easy parking W. of bridge at 033332 & up Scawdmans Hill & Cardon Hill. From Cardon Hill, over Birnies Bowrock & then SW alongside fence for 150m or so before making way across to ATV track which runs up alongside fence to summit cairn. Descended back along ATV track & then path across fairly rough terrain to fence junction at 054298 - NW alongside fence; rough at first, but picked up good tracks over Tippet Knowe & down to Nisbet & car. From Nisbet via Bendrie, Cow Castle, White Hill, Scawdman's Hill and Birnies Bowrock. Back over Cardon Hill and north down the ridge. Solo.Dangerous Dave14/01/2019
With Shaky & Smithy on a beautful cold, clear Ne'er Day walk from Culter Allers Farm. Up Fell Shin to the summit of Culter Fell & then following the fence line down & across to Chapelgill Hill. Crossed the fence to reach Birnies Bowrock directly & then followed the E side of the fence to the summit of Cardon Hill. Followed the other side of the fence back to the col underneath Culter Fell dodging a lot of detritus from the old fence. Dropped very steeply down next to Kings Beck to gain the track back to the start. A better plan would be to stay high on the shoulder to the N of the gully & then drop down the heathery slope to pick up the track lower down.NotReallyABagger01/01/2019
Solo from P at Glenkirk, Holms valley, directly up NW to summit of ChH and continued round NNE to Birnie's Bowrock. Weather dry but biting E wind - v cold. First visit was also solo, on 10/06/2015.jacobus19/11/2018

From Culter Allers Farm up King's Beck (lost path) to emerge under Culter Fell. Stiff pull then returned out to Chapelgill Hill and on to Cardon Hill. Retuned by Scawdmans Hill. Easy enough day apart from the pull out of King's Beck.SS07/05/2018
Parked by bridge opposite quarry, by Nisbet along track then fairly direct ascent to Scawdmans Hill. Continued to Birnies Bowrock, Chapelgill Hill, Cardon Hill. Descent N along ridge then at beallach turned W into glen, where camped overnight (with some blustery snow). Ciontinued N down glen, then steep ascent to White Hill, descent WSW and on to Cow Castle and Bendrie and return to start. Bitterly cold and windy.RobertP17/03/2018
