Verge parking directly opposite Halton Park Farm. The footpath running North west from the road opposite Halton Park farm is out of sight of the road. After a few metres there is an unobstructed route up to the summit copse. Over an easy wire fence, through the trees and the summit is a flat area just outside of them.moorsman19/04/2023
Parked at SD 52599 65860 and followed ronaldo333's route up and reversed back down. I met the farmers by the entrance of Halon Park Farm who thought I was bonkers but gave permission.DC11main15/02/2023
As others farm track from Halton Hall, The quiet lane is followed by Sustrans Cycle Route 69 from Morecambe Bay to Grimsby and shared (as far as Clapham) with The Way of Roses Coast to Coast cycle route. I have happy teenage memories of a few cadet visits to Halton Training Camp a few miles down the Lune -incl, doing my Bronze D of E 'expedition' in the area. (our project was doing a survey of vehicles types on the M6 from a pedestrian bridge!)Chris Pearson17/05/2022
Halton Hill from GR: SD 52599 65860. Return by heading NNW to field corner then directly NE through wood direct line to car.ronaldo33320/12/2021
