Easy, plentiful parking behind the White Swan down New Hey Road in Outlane. Cross to the main road via a snicket and walk east along a good, wide footpath. Once approaching the end of the wood on the opposite side of the road, cross at a traffic island and head straight up. One single fence and a wire fence to cross to reach the summit unseen. 15 dry minutes return.moorsman08/05/2018
Parked at start of bw in Turley Cote Lane and negotiated round stables and the smallest Shetland ponies I have ever seen. Really cute.Campbell Singer09/01/2018
2 of 5 today on tough New Year's Day bike ride including fixby ridge, old lindley moor, crow edge, worts hill, wholestone moorThe-Z-Man01/01/2018
From minorbrd to W, parking at 261m spot height. Muddy cattle pasture to muddy cattle pasture at top. Lots of mud.jonglew08/11/2017
Quite simple accessing from the slip road embankment. Easy fence then summit field with stony mound by bush and flat area short distance to NERobertP15/10/2017
darkness wander up the embankment of the curving motorway slip road. Despite wellies, my shorts didn't protect me from hidden nettles. On the field on top five horses took an interest in me and a couple got a bit frisky and frightened me a bit about the possibility of getting kickedvegibagger19/06/2017
Parked on minor road to the NW then 2-3 fields to gain summit with Martin Richardson with cake and whisky to celebrate his third county re-completion of the day.Dugswell210/12/2016

Parked in New Hey Lane to south, then up through trees to fence, top is across very muddy fieldthe_adam26/11/2016
2nd hill of four today on a route from Lindridge road (Huddersfield suburb) to Slaithwaite station, climbing Fixby hill and then using the Kirklees way before veering off on minor road and then bridleway. I climbed over a fence into a fielèeèd and then cut across and up to jct of summit field where M62 cutting embankment starts. Agree that small mound next to wall with adjacent quarry is the top but wandered around anyway. No Equine problems today. Descent via quarry and over gate to road and then minor road to Outlane.Dazingdale19/11/2016
a visit to this tump while bouldering at the minor crags to the eastjoseph mitchell23/10/2016
From W, hardstanding now complete. Hp level paddock just SE of wall or equally level ground 80m to ENE. Horses just chillin' today. Calderdale recompletedRHW25/09/2016

Good parking at start of Turley Cote Lane. Over wall as AJ, but horses took no notice of meGordonAdshead05/09/2016
Pipped to the post by AJ again. Essential to get to new Tumps in north of England within 24 hours of them appearing on hill bagging in order to beat AJ. Same way up to elder bush above small quarry. Back straight down past construction site as early on Sat. morning. Calderdale regained. On to reclaim Kirklees & Doncaster. Again beaten by AJ. But might get Dodworth Hill before him.ngthack03/09/2016
From lane to N, some excavator work going on (sign saying land has been sold) so went further E before ascending past over-friendly horses. Highest point a stony mound by bush. Small quarry just over wall.Aye Jimmy02/09/2016
