track from Witchie Knowe.BLACKHILL06/11/2023
From Bowhill followed Duchess Drive track through the woods to open moorland. Onto Fauldshope Hill, Fastheugh Hill and Newark Hill.Wayne Mac04/11/2023
From Witchie Knowe. Tracks helped most of route to Fauldshope Hill and Fastheugh Hill, back to start then short steep climb to Rough Knowe.RobertP17/09/2023
Parking half a mile E of Yarrowford at a small, muddy, pull-off (NT418298) and a nasty walk back W half a mile along a road with fast traffic. Entered the estate at NT413299 and, after about 150m, at the first track junction, a bizarre sign about buying tickets which give access to areas outside of Bowhill House. Took the 2nd track on the R up through Black Andrew Wood and onto the open fell. Rough heather for the last 150m to the topIsbjorn19/04/2023
Along the tracks from Witchie Knowe. A short heathery climb to Fasthope Hill, then over the summit line fence to cut down to a track leading to the cairn on Faustheugh Hill. A short walk to the summit, where the larger of the two stones looks like an old and much weathered boundary stone.Nick Down108/10/2022
From the forest track start in Black Andrew Wood at NT 41524 29573. Took the Duchess's Drive route through the spruce forest up onto the open moor, then all the way to the closest spot to the HP. A short heather bash brought me to this - marked by a single stone. Then took grassy track down to Fastheugh and back through Black Andrew Wood to the car. Solo. 9.8km, with 390m of ascent.Man of Kernow114/11/2021

Parked at Witchie Knowe. Along the tracks to Fauldshope Hill and Fastheugh Hill (visited cairn and summit).PGCE17/03/2021
Black Andrew Wood parking area, 200m S. of the Yarrowford entrance at NT 4133 2976 - From W. end of parking area, path up through trees to join Duchess's Drive - Up Duchess's Drive to 393278 & then a short walk up over tussock & heather to summit. To descend, headed heather to Coplaw Cairn, over fence & down alongside fence for about 200m before picking up an ATV track; this rejoins Duchess's Drive by gate at 399281.gerrybowes02/10/2020
From Broadmeadows, parked at entrance to village opposite North Lodge, though should have driven through the gates where 100m along there is parking for 5 or so cars. Up the track onto Dutchess’s Drive. Nearing the summit a new track (not mapped) splits off left and goes closer to the cairn. Short heather walk to top.N.Morters19/03/2020
Parking for about half a dozen cars within the estate at NT 4132 2977. Good track almost all the way, bit of rough heather for final 100m or so.jonglew22/01/2020
Parked at the Bowhill estate and country park (£3.50), then followed the yellow markers of the Duchess's Drive circular walk. Slight detour to the summit, with just a short distance over longer heather from the cairn to the highest point. Pleasant circular walk.LizH07/07/2019
From Yarrowford through the Bowhill estate turning west through Black Andrew Wood ascending to join the Duchess's Drive. Up Newark Hill then Fastheugh hill. Views across to the Three Brethren. Descended to the track to Bowhill over rolling moorland and then forest. Followed the Cross Borders Drove Road southeast and crossed the Ettrick Water at Gillkeeket, then a sharp up and down to Howden farm. Continued on track then across fields east towards The Haining and the Borders Abbey Way to Selkirk. 18.5km 11.5miles, 550m 1800ft ascentpalmersathome10/03/2019
From Yarrowford (there is a small car park just inside the estate) to Duchess Drive which was followed round apart from the diversion to Fastheugh Hill and Coplaw Cairn. Bowhill due to open again at Easter.SS02/03/2019

Bike along the tarmac drive and up Duchess's Drive to the top of the wood. Legged the rest - being a legger rather than a cyclist. Visited both the big cairn and the proper, two stones, 85m N.Eddie30/08/2017
