Fun bing. From residential street in Embsay, footpath past Cavendish Arms, then public RoW through beechwood. From rough grass, onto vegetated, brambly quarry spoil, with a few tracks, to levelish summit area with steep drops overlooking active quarry. Windy, low cloud. HP unmarked. | Denise | 29/01/2023 |

Evening walk from Embsay, taking FP from pub, past quarry entrance continuing up on FP. Then over fence and on to top. Nice list hill, which I hope they don’t quarry away. Back via ridge near mast and time for a pint at pub. | PeterD | 25/06/2021 |
Last of a medley of 7 Tumps near Skipton. Parked in Embsay and followed RoW to the ridge, then over fence and up to summit. By now dusk on a Saturday evening, so no activity in the quarry, although a few truckers still washing their lorries down at the end of the day. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 27/03/2021 |
From Embsay village on public footpath. Over barbed wire fence onto quarry site (Sunday, so no-one about) and easy walk up to summit. No cairn. Went over to see the limestone ridge on the lower western top. It's as good as others say... a very unexpected feature. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 10/11/2019 |
Via super little ridge to east of mast, very slightly reminiscent of the Aonach Eagach of Glencoe. The great crags of Haw Park ahead very slightly reminiscent of An Ruadh Stac. | Wycombe Wanderer | 18/08/2019 |
12.00 delightful amble ramble from Embsay Station up ROW and easy track up to top. Missed the heavy rain showers on my drive over from York. Dry by time I climbed it. With Mindy dog. | vegibagger | 18/03/2019 |

7th top of 8 on a route from Grassington to Skipton climbing Elbolton and Kail hill then Thorpe Fell top, Cracoe Fell, Brown Bank and High Crag then steep descent to the road, track from Eastby then fp over railway line then following ridge to summit then onwards to the lovely limestone-topped sumnit. Descent to A39 then took A65 past the A6069 jct heading for Skipton Moor. . | Dazingdale | 29/12/2018 |
Easy roadside parking in Embsay village. Signposted path starts through the pub car park and leads directly up to the building on the summit col. On reaching this navigate the BWF on the left and, after a few trees, the summit becomes visible. Much easier walk than expected.2.98Km return, 45 minutes. | moorsman | 18/10/2018 |
Parked in wide entrance at 01105 52640, over a gate and upwards. Then over a fence and upwars through the quarry workings. No cairn there now. | clivevilla | 09/09/2018 |

Parked near entrance to Haw Park House & Lodge, gate on left into field. | jimbloomer | 11/03/2018 |
After checking out the Inghey Bridge three, FBM aux1 & Skipton FBM.
As Aye Jimmy, but the fine limestone ridge second, followed by the surface block.
Thanks to Dugswell 2 for the heads up on the OS artefacts in the area.
Then went on for Gibbet Hill & trig. Making 7 different OS features, three types of which were new to me. | ngthack | 25/02/2018 |
Parked the car near Skipton FBM Aux 1 berntsen then walked back towards Embsay to take the footpath from the NW towards Haw Park. Keep to the lower path through the woods which then crosses the quarry road before the footpath goes up some steps then turns into field. Along quarry edge of field until wooden bit of fence topped with barbed wire allows access towards summit. Then on to bag Haw Park surface block before retreating back towards route of ascent. | Dugswell2 | 22/02/2018 |
Had a decent walk to this one from Skipton Castle.Up The Bailey to reach path by caravan site leading to Skipton Bypass.Through wood(many tracks but easiest to keep to west and north edges of wood). When path emerges from wood and reaches highest point, over bwf to summit with tiny cairn.Good views.Returned via Skipton Castle woods. With Oscar. | catman | 07/02/2018 |

Parked near entrance to Haw Park House & Lodge, gate on left into field. Visited W hill first, on fine limestone ridge. Then E through trees, round N side of quarry/machinery area. Flattish summit, tiny cairn. | Aye Jimmy | 05/02/2018 |
From SW, via RoW. Tiny cairn. Wasn't properly light, but ground seemed possibly artificial, as if worked over or even an old spoil heap, with a few boulders strewn around, and a few trees planted. Also visited n9icer WSW summit, narrow ridge, natural pasture. | RHW | 31/01/2018 |
