| Approached walking along main road, the hill rises very sharply and their is no may of just going straight up. Took the footpath at junction of heol berry and main road, only I didn't I took the old road which involved a very steep ascent, a lot of mountain bike riding goes on her I suspect by the numerous tracks that peter out. The amount of human activity on the hill makes a natural high point long gone and the various lumps and bumps are reasonable for the current high point. | Im a local (Pentyrch) .. theres some cracking loops that take in Garth and Garth Woods .. for Garth Woods park in village hall CP and pick up the field FP at end of Cefn Bychan .. once you reach old quarry lane turn right then at gate go left into the wood and pick up the track that will take you to the top clearing .. its well worth visiting the quarry viewing platform at approx ST121825 | milejunkie | 14/01/2022 |
