Verge parking at start of PRoW to E. | Minto | 31/12/2023 |
Outcrop in sheep pasture close to RoAw, parking on verge. Cold wind but dry. | Denise | 29/12/2023 |
8/8. Parked on Raisthwaite Lane opposite entrance to Lin Crag Farm (soft verge). Followed footpath past Lin Crag Farm then up small tracks to Subberthawite Bank. From summit could see nice green tracks down to Ivy Tree. Followed RoW above houses and down edge of wood to road, Then picked up RoW to The Knotts, over footbridge, and up pastures. Nice view up Coniston Water into the heart of the Lakes from the summit. Visited all possible high points, as I was unsure which was the summit. A quick hour's walk at the end of the day, covering 4km. | silveracorn_alan | 17/02/2023 |
After Subberthwaite Bank via FP off Raisthwaite Lane | trimarc2 | 31/01/2023 |
From Main Road to E, easy parking on wide verge. On descent fould large lamb with its head stuck in wire fence. Tried 3 houses before we were able to report to farmer's wife at Birk Row. | GordonAdshead | 18/11/2022 |
Did all 4 just in case. | DARRENG | 10/09/2022 |
From Subberthwaite Fell, along the public footpath which circles behind Ivy Tree. Crossed the road, the little footbridge and a gated stile into the small sheep pasture. No access issues. Very pleasant. Back along Raisthwaite Lane to the van. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 24/02/2022 |
Parked in Blawith near old church and walked up Raisthwaite Lane then followed FP over stone bridge and through stile in wall. A number of possible HPs but first one I went to seemed highest. Retraced route to go onto Subberthwaite bank. | PeterD | 24/12/2021 |
Easy parking at the church to the north. Walked along the A5084 then footpath up the hill. A few knolls visited! | Alan Caine | 30/10/2021 |
There is a good parking spot just through the gate on the minor road to the west.It lies a short distance SW of where the footpath meets the road. Walk back to the footpath and cross the river. When you reach the fields there is a stile through the wall leading into the summit area which lies in the next field. | moorsman | 14/05/2021 |
From lane to W but not recommended as parking difficult. Nice f/p with slabby rock bridge over beck, stiles in/out of field beyond. Many summit outcrops visited. | Aye Jimmy | 13/09/2020 |
Nice stroll via footpath to west. | Wycombe Wanderer | 22/08/2020 |
1/2 Parked at Lowick by the currently closed pub. Over fields to Raisethwaite Lane then climbed new hill The Knotts. Then back along lane to pick up Cumbria Way to Gawthwaite and then on to Knapperthaw then used footpath up to the Beacon. A lovely walk contouring round Crake valley | nickywood1 | 31/05/2020 |

nth re-completion of Cumbria. Verge parking to E. Nice knotty pasture complete with gamboling lambs. Couldn't decide if the obvious outcrop is summit, or one a bit S near the wall. | jonglew | 13/05/2020 |
