7 mile circular from car park at Nant Peris which was very busy with people flocking to Snowdon, we headed away from the crowds and along the road with useful little side path to Gwastadnant, from here we followed nice, clear but very steep path up to col between Y Garn and Glyder Fawr, then ascended Y Garn's summit, on top we were greeted by a swarm of flies, we headed on quickly descending then easily ascending grassy Foel-Goch, from here we followed faint and sometimes non existant path by Cwm Gafr back down to Nant Peris, this path got easier as we headed out of access land. Perfectly clear and sunny weather but no breeze made for very thirsty walking, hardly anyone about strangely, they were all on Snowdon!DanTrig15/09/2020

Second peak of the day, amazed so many walkers pass it by as it isn't 3000ft high. Excellent viewpoint.DanMaisieBex23/08/2019
From Nant Peris down the road to Gwastadnant to pick up the path to Y Garn. We then traversed to Foel Goch followed by Mynydd Perfedd. We then take the ridge to Carnedd y Filiast 821 m and its subsidiary peak of Y Fronllwyd 720 m. We then took the path above the access tunnel to the power station at the head of the reservoir to ascend Elidir Fawr. This is a very steep path not shown on maps. We set out in fog and rain and this transformed into a sunny day with beautiful views of Snowdon.Lazylizzie26/05/2019
Steep climb from Mynydd Perfedd, descent back wasn't as bad as expected. Tried my new poles for the first time and was very pleased!bescot4205/05/2019

I climbed Elidir Fawr (923m) and Y Garn (947m) yesterday 29/09/18 from the Nant Peris car park in Snowdonia National Park. The weather was very changeable with mist rolling in between sunny spells but dry all day, took just on six hours.chillyman829/09/2018

Final day of three in Wales with Smithy & Shaky: windy & with rain forecast. From Idwal Cottage round Llyn Idwal & up the NE ridge of Y Garn with a quick detour to that summit. Over to Foel-goch while the other two took the lower traversing path, then round to a mist shrouded Elidir Fawr. Got greedy & headed up Mynydd Perfedd at which point the promised rain arrived big time, not the ideal point for Shaky to discover that he had forgotten his overtrousers! Over to Carnedd y Filiast & then back to the first stile underneath Mynydd Perfedd & followed faint path on vague ridge between Cwm Perfedd & Cwm Bual. Dropped into the latter to reach the minor road & a wander back to the start.NotReallyABagger23/04/2018
