With Ben, Ella, Alex, Corwyn, Fernando, Tima, & James. From Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd. Descent to Talysarn through quarry included some quite challenging wayfinding (much of the RoW has been quarried away!). Was fortunate that it was a Sunday – entry not possible during the week due to blasting.millionmts16/04/2023

Came up from the Rhyd Ddu car park, a long slog to the top of Yr Garn but miles better than coming from the West side that I ended up going down to Cae Amos bothy, and then completing the loop back up the valley. The quarry at the top of the valley is a nice (dramatic) surprise after the long road walk.andrewroberts04/03/2023

Nantlle Ridge walk from the station car park at Rhyd-Ddu. Then out and back to Garnedd-goch. Descended east on gentle grassy slopes from Bwich Dros-bern then pathless rough ground until joining the bridleway back through the forest. Solo.Dangerous Dave22/04/2022

Enjoyable walk along Nantlle ridge on clear/dry day with thunder elsewhere. Started near Talysarn - path through quarries difficult to follow. On to Myndd Mawr and down to Waunfach. Bus worked well from Caernarfon to start / finish.davechaffey11/05/2021
8.6 mile circular from road bend at Pant-Y-Gog, we tried to find path across Cors-Y-Llyn but saw no trace, also the signposts had been taken down, instead we walked towards Cwm Dulyn and followed parallel path by wall to another minor road then followed track footpaths to road and car park near Maen-Llwyd, the fiddly bit now done we headed along track and then up trail along edge of Clogwyn-Y-Cysgod up to lovely summit of Craig Cwm Silyn, from here we turned back and followed path up easily onto Garnedd-Goch with its half a trig, then we descended steeply to ROW and followed good trail onto Mynydd Graig Goch and its lovely rocky summit, crossing handy new ladder stile over wall by summit and easily descending back to Cwm Dulyn and car. Amazing clear and sunny conditions with good views, A few people about.DanTrig17/09/2020

Round of Craig Cwm Silyn and Trim y Ddisgl from Cwm Pennant road end. Walked back to last house then rough track up to SE ridge at about 400m. Up the ridge, higher up heather covered boulders make it hard going. Down N ridge, path to the west of the ridge bypasses the steep cragsTopographer5705/08/2019

A 13 mile walk using Nuttall's route the one change I would make is the return to Rhyd-Ddu from Craig Cwm Silyn its not the goog and looked better to return to Mynydd Tal-y mignedd and follow the ridge down to the desserted quarry.WAYNE ROWLETT01/06/2019

The Nantlle Ridge from Rhyd-Ddu to near Maen-llwyd. With daughter, Katherine. We came out of the mist as we approached Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd. Craig Cwm Silyn looked impressively steep and we were in mist again as we started up the scramble to the summit. It was not as difficult as it had seemed from afar. From Garnedd-goch we followed the wall NW to get to the road end; horrible boggy bit low down where the route crosses a stream.pwbellarby11/04/2018
Route: Rhyd Ddu – Y Garn – Mynydd Drws-y-coed – Trum y Ddysgl – Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd – Craig Cwm Silyn – Garnedd-goch – road junction SE of Talysarn. Stats: 5hrs43, 13.7km, 1,067m ascent. Weather: initially cloudy at tops, but then clearing and becoming hot & sunny later. Notes: encountered llamas and peafowl on final descent.millionmts08/04/2018
