Staying at the Ochils Mountaineering Club Cottage in Crianlarich; on Sunday, I headed up Sgurr na h-Ulaidh with Dave Morgan, Al McBride and Chelsea Murray . Set off in darkness again at 07:50, it was a balmy -6C. We walked up the track and then a long slog up to the my 100th Munro Top, Stob an Fhuarain (968m). It was only once on the ridge, that we found the sunshine. Then some icy conditions getting up to Sgurr na h-Ulaidh (994m) my 199th Munro. Descending was made easier with micro spikes. Back to the car at 16:46, in darkness again. A cracking daychillyman803/12/2023

Solo walk. I parked on the A82 Glen Coe road close to the start of the track to Gleann leac na Muidhe. Walked up this track and then past the corner of a plantation and up the hillside to reach the summit of Stob an Fhuarain. I had thought of returning over Aonach Dubh a' Ghlinne, but was running out of time. Instead I went down to the path beside Allt na Muidhe, as I thought this would be easier, and then followed the outward track back to the car. Weather OK. Object of the day was to do the Munro Top, which I had missed out when I had last done the Munro.pwbellarby14/05/2006
