A 13 mile walk using nuttall's route the one change I would make is the return to Rhyd-Ddu from Craig Cwm Silyn its not that good it looked better to return to Mynydd Tal-y mignedd and follow the ridge down to the deserted quarry.WAYNE ROWLETT01/06/2019

The Nantlle Ridge from Rhyd-Ddu to near Maen-llwyd. With daughter, Katherine. Followed good path from SH566526 which goes steeply up to the summit of Y Garn. Good visibility here but mist came down for scramble up Mynydd Drws-y-coed. Compass in use for ascent of Trum y Ddysgl and on to Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd. The connecting col between these two hills has a level platform with very steep sides with a somewhat disconcerting dip half way along. It is easy enough to negotiate, though.pwbellarby11/04/2018
Route: Rhyd Ddu – Y Garn – Mynydd Drws-y-coed – Trum y Ddysgl – Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd – Craig Cwm Silyn – Garnedd-goch – road junction SE of Talysarn. Stats: 5hrs43, 13.7km, 1,067m ascent. Weather: initially cloudy at tops, but then clearing and becoming hot & sunny later. Notes: encountered llamas and peafowl on final descent.millionmts08/04/2018

First, but only top on attempt on the Nantlle Ridge, aborted due to very slippy rocks on way up to next top, Mynydd Drws y Coed. Not the place to be on a very wet day!!!IanHHill30/06/2017

As part of West to East traverse of the Nantlle Ridge with 13 year old son. Dropped off at around SH481518. Took us about 9 hours on a very warm but mainly cloudy day.clyoung18/08/2016
Excellent traverse of the whole Nantlle ridge from Y Garn to Mynydd Graig Goch (start at Rhyd-Ddu, end at Nebo). Climbed solo. Weather dry and mild. Drifting mist around summits, but cleared often enough for good views along ridge and to nearby mountains. Only saw 2 people all day (in Lake District would have been hundreds!). Scrambly bit on Mynydd Drws-y-Coed was a highlight but not difficult ... In fact whole ridge was interesting. Lovely views of Lleyn peninsula from the wierd rocky tors on the last summit of Mynydd Graig Goch. Total time 5.5 hours. Oddly I also summited Y Garn the previous day. Was with Labrador intending to do whole ridge but dog chickened out on the rocky part of the ascent to the second summit Mynydd Drws-y-Coed, so turned back. Was windy!jamessteel10004/08/2016
Solo. Excellent traverse of the Nantlle Ridge from Rhyd-Ddu, in and out of the mist with numerous Broken Spectres. Less good return to start dropping down to SE and back through Beddgelert Forest.amswanston18/07/2016

Last peak on a S-N traverse - with the top low enough to be below the clouds. Fine view of the pub ahead!DanMaisieBex11/06/2016
This was a walk of 2 halves for me. The ridge itself was, on a day like today with such good weather and visibility, is one of the best walks in Wales if not the whole country. The second half, getting back to the start, was not so good. Next time I think I'll walk through to Nebo or Pen-y-Groes and get a taxi back to Rhydd Ddu. Parked the car at Rhydd Ddu and up to Y Garn with incredible views of Anglesey (as far as Holyhead) and Snowdon and later the Llyn peninsula and then a modest scramble up to Mynydd Drws-y-coed and then an easy walk to Trum y Ddysgl and Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd and then a bit more strenuous walk to Craig Cwm Silyn with its strange rectangular stone structures and an easy walk to Garnedd Goch followed by a steepish descent to Mynydd Graig Goch which is worth “going the extra mile” as it has an interesting rocky summit. The whole walk was a really excellent ridge walk. Then came the return home. Tried to get to the public footpath at GR508 482 but there was no eatsharp01/06/2016

Slog from parking by Llyn y Dywarchen. Showers over Beddgelert Forest by dry for us. Views are terrific and the two Bronze Age cairns despite being hollowed out by idiots are two of the best in Snowdonia. Onward to Mynydd Drws y Coed once fortified with lunch.thesweetcheat30/04/2016
