From free carpark below Moel Arthur at SJ146657. Followed Offa's Dyke ascending east flank of Moel Arthur then descended to col and the small Coed Llangwyfan carpark. From here continued on Offa's Dyke path skirting woodland to the summit. Reconstructed tumulus, impressive hill fort ramparts, fine views to south. Returned same way, late lunch stop at carpark. Breezy, squally rain, but mild. Walked for two hours, back to car just before dusk. With Lindsey the day after Llandudno gig.Skip06/12/2019

The no. 76 bus from Llanbedr to Llangwyfan allows a fabulous linear walk taking in 4 Marilyns: Penycloddiau, Moel Famau, Foel Fenlli and Moel Gyw. Mainly easy going on the Offa's Dyke path, with a few steep deviations onto the summits. Penycloddiau can be accessed via a steep, faint path off the Clywdian Way above Fron-gelyn, just past a massive iron tank. (The paths marked on the OS map do not exist).Gill14/10/2016
