Logged Descriptions  (logged by 8 users)ByDate of Ascent
fa, 8 in party, hot and sunny, private hire boat to the island, lots of wales, seals, and dozens of basking sharks spotted, several coming right along side the boat. the bay was full of basking sharks which kept brushing the side of our dingy as we neared the shore, great day we were first on the island and had to our selves for nearly all of our walk out to the hill and back.rum doodle 27/04/2011
The Ferry departs from Dunquin Pier, a quite steep walk down, their times are very much weather dependent and transfer from the Ferry to Great Blasket Island is by RIB.kingstonian24/05/2010
