Easy enough once I took the correct forest track. Should have paid more attention.NormanW12/03/2020
Short morning walk from Layby/track as others. Dull forest but Summit is a nice promontory with lovely trig point.N.Morters24/01/2020
Track from ENE, minor approach roads OK, and track now cleared of wind throw and strew. NE face covered in nice berries but steep, used katoolahs, and there is an awkward loose fence crossing.Topographer5727/08/2019
Skirted above wind blown trees and back to path. Followed path to high point then steeply up bank. Descended more easily south to SH 80566 09575 then return by outward route.Lionel Bidwell26/03/2018
Parked at SH814105 then followed upper forest track SW until area of wind throw blocking the track mentioned by Gill. Chose to pass above this onto open hillside where most of the mess has been cleared. Crossed the fence then straight up the side to summit avoiding the worst of the trail bike damage. Descended steeply SE before entering forest at gate and return by same route.Ian Baines13/03/2018

An interesting walk on the usual forestry track. An area of wind throw has blocked the track, good because trail bikes can't use it any more, and baggers can dodge round below it. Despite this, the trail bikes come from the other side, and the knobhead riders seem to think it clever to ride up the steep hillside to the summit, and strew litter around. Grr. Lovely hill, but hard to enjoy through a red mist.Gill16/02/2018
From SH 814105 then via SH 806096 then doubled back to climb steepest section. Operated ham radio from summit for SOTA.G4OBK (Phil)13/01/2018

Easy parking at the end of the forest track to the NE. Once out of the forest a path winds around and then it is easy to pick a route to the top. Picked up a lot of other people's recent litter - you don't need to be a PI to work out it was recent given the eat by date on the M&S melon slices packet.Father Ted06/10/2017
With Trefor. Forest track from NE then Very steep pull to summit. Weather fine, good views.mike.hoult13/07/2016
From layby on minor road.rhalstead21/11/2015
Very quick along forest track from NE and then straight up steep heathery slope to summit.jenx13/11/2015
With Jenx, as she describes! Back over a couple of nearby tops dodging the Welsh Rally eventnordicstar13/11/2015
Parked at the forest track just east of the highest point of the road 814105. Walked on right of way SW and through the gate at the forest edge. Steeply up heather slopes to the trig point. The area is used by trials bikes and we picked up lots of litter before returning but larger lumps of wreckage had to remain. Great views.mindlessflogger11/10/2015
2nd hill of the day, after Esgai Ddu. The hill may be close to the road, but it does not give up it's summit easily! The ridge to SE much steeper than expected, made worse by motor bike erosion. Descended directly to the East.huwthomas29/08/2015
from forestry tracks - rutted path snakes up out of the trees to summit heavily eroded by two wheeled hooligans. lots of rubbish about quite why / how is anyones guess. splendid summit though.stig_nest16/07/2015

From 814105 taking the right fork after 200 yards. An interesting summit with a great view and a bit of a pull up for the last 150 feet. With GB.bolton28/04/2015
Roadside parking at the junction of the minor road & forest track (SH81393 10527) SW along forest track for about 200m & then took the right fork Followed track until it emerged from the forest & met the SE ridge Up ridge, which is very steep to start with, to trig point. (PM)gerrybowes28/04/2015
Rewarding day outing from Corris Hostel, as a circular walk, even if there was quite a bit of unpleasant forest bashing involved.Twice Shy20/09/2014

Drove from Corris and parked at 814105 (9:05). Took forest track, forked R in 200m, thence upwards to just beyond gate at edge of wood. Steeply up and along ridge to summit. Super views of sunlit Cader Idris to W. Finish 10:10.dbb11/10/2010
From minor road to NE, forest track, then steep climb to top. Mist and rain, no-views-R-us again.tim74710/10/2010
parked at 814 105 - walked up forest road - took left fork and then came back to take correct route which is right fork - go as far as gate then up steep bilberry slopes to summitPhil M10/08/2010
Somebody described this top as "dull but painless" in an early Marhofn but I thought it was a great little top - looked like the rock ridges formed a natural hill fort summit.signyred20/06/2010

Super hill as Gerald Peck, take first right off main forest road and keep going until open hillside, then its a steep ascent directly or go round to SW for easier ascent route. Dry and clear but cloudy.Dugswell218/06/2009
Forest trail from NE. Once forest cleared up steep hillside to trig. Marks on hillside suggest this is a popular scrambling bike area, none seen today. Well built dumpy stone trig on top.Aye Jimmy03/06/2009

a lot of deforestation taking place. the final 100m is quite steepDARRENG09/12/2007
Parked on the minor road to the North East. Then a simple case of taking the tracks to the open hillside and then to the top.garyhoney20/08/2006

Parked on the forest road to the north. Through the forest until the summit which was clear of trees. Views of Snowdonia were good and we could pick out the big hillsChinnockC10/04/2003

Completely surrounded by forest and steep valleys. On sheep pasture and faint access track to gain view of RP. Frisky heifers. Contour to bottom of col and up a wet grassy drainage channel and last 100m over blueberry plants to faint path and top at 11.15.arranc03/06/2000
