Walk with Izzy visiting her at university. We started from Nant-y-moch Reservoir just after the pumping station at a little pull in near the track. We headed up this to Maesnant where we followed a faint track up the burn and then up to the summit of Plynlimon where we had some lunch. We then headed across to the 727 metre top marked by a cairn before circling round and heading down to Llyn Llygad. We paddled across the outflow and headed down the track to the car. We were lucky with the weather as it was mostly sunny with a fresh breeze. Plenty of wildlife about. Time taken with stops 2 hours 43 minutes for 5.69 miles and 1507 feet of ascent. | isabelle | 10/11/2023 |

A pleasant set of hills, starting with Y Garn and moving on to Pumlumon Fawr, Pumlumon Fach, Pen Pumlumon Llygad-bychan, Pen Pumlumon Llygad-bychan East Top and Pen Pumlumon Arwystli. I extended the route to view the source of The Severn, which I found to be well worth the detour. I returned to the hills and descended into the valley to pick up the track at the delightful Llyn Llygad Rheidol reservoir. | oldbagger27 | 19/06/2023 |

Parked the van at Bryn y Beddau and took a good track up towards Pumlumon Fach, which gives easy access to Pumlumon Fawr. Then along the summit ridge path to its two East Tops and on to Pen Cerrig Tewion and Pen Pumlumon Arwystli. Still plenty of time in the day so went north to bag the summits of Carnfachbugeilyn and Pumlumon Cwmbiga. Returned via Bryn Cras and down to a wet path besides the Afon Hengwm. | summitter | 29/11/2022 |

Solo. From Eisteddfa-Gurgig. Walked north on a track on the west side of Afon Tarennig, which leads to some old mine workings. Then on good path to the summit of Pen Pumlumon Fawr. Misty. Went on to summit of Pen Pumlumon Llygad-bychan and back to Pen Pumlumon Fawr. Very misty. Descended the broad south ridge on the west side of the fence although the OS 1:25,000 map shows the right of way on the other side of the fence. It rained quite heavily. Near the start of a forest followed a track and path westwards to reach the summit of Y Garn, the rain easing off. Returned to the fence and joined a track down to Eisteddfa-Gurgig. | pwbellarby | 31/05/2022 |
Eisteddfa Gurig - Y Garn - Pumlumon Fawr - Pumlumon Fach - Penlumon Fawr - here - Pen Pumlumon Arwystli, then to the east top of this one on the way back. Nice little hill with a little bit of hopping over tussocks and hags. Good views of the other peaks on the ridge and wonderful to be above the source of Afon Gwy. | thesweetcheat | 27/05/2022 |
