Included in day's circular walk. Parked at Capel y Ffin, walked to Vision Farm, ascent steep east to reach Offa's Dyke Path and followed it north over Mynydd Du to Hay Bluff summit. Left Offa's Dyke path, turned west and crossed Bwlch yr Efengyl to bag Twmpa, onwards to Rhos Dirion, then 4 mile leisurely hike southwards along ridge to Chwarel y Fan, then descend to Capel y Ffin. Lovely area, much to see, and interesting people when you meet them. Chwarel y Fan was my last mountain of the 100 highest in Wales.Dewi Prysor14/05/2017

2nd hill of the day on the Offas Dyke path leg from Hay-on-wye (started from Cusop)to Pandy, climbing Black Mountain and then onto this hill. I was vigilant at the summit area and did my usual thing of walking in circles to make sure. This summit was actually had a bit more character than Black Mountain!Dazingdale19/10/2016
