Normal route up from national trust car park to the south. Then doubled back slightly and came anti-clockwise around the hill on the contouring path. Glorious sunny day with fine views to Penyfan, Severn Estuary and Black MountainsClive G03/08/2020
From CP to S (£4.00). Super hill - nice shape - steep W face. Very busy.ger25/12/2019

With K, M and two-year-old D from expensive car park to S. Top hillAshley12/09/2019
With Jane. Perfect sunshiny day. Walked around the west side of the Skirrid through mainly wooded ground, then up to the summit via the path at the northern end of the hill, thereby avoiding most of the crowds!Speleoprez13/08/2019
From the NT car park. Very busy, Sunday lunchtime.NormanW21/07/2019

Parked in Abergavenny for lengthier walk up The Skirrid . Viewed when walking Offas Dyke and had to go back to walk this great little hill. Changeable weather - rainbows in the valley below ...D SID04/03/2019

From NT car park. A very busy hill! Solo.Dangerous Dave15/09/2018
Up in 40 minutes from NT CP to the south. Steep woodland path followed by narrow ridge. There are shorter RoW's from the north but the road is very narrow and devoid of parking.Topographer5713/08/2018

Marilyn 7 of 7 today. Parked at national trust car park to south and went up the right of way. Bagged at sunset and thoroughly enjoyed being up on its ridge by myself watching sun set beyond Sugar Loaf. Great wee hill.assynt_bob30/04/2018

Steep but shorthill_walker10/03/2018
An easy walk from the NT car park. Path through the woods to the summit ridge is a bit of a motorway but in good shape. The summit ridge is horribly damaged by the passage of thousands of feet, but the views are fabulous.Gill25/02/2018
a stroll up from the car park on a wet blustery day. The Singing Kettle cafe just 80 yards from the car park does a great egg and bacon sandwich.Lou10/02/2018
Straightforward up from the visitors car park, but walked round the hill on the way back which was ok but very soggy and muddy underfoot. Easier and nicer to just go back same way probably!nickywood128/11/2017

With Stuart, Sue, Ann, Gerard, Julie, John, Kim and Bella from the NT CP. Muddy ascent and steep descent to the north to complete the circuit.Newton Maximus30/12/2016
Parked in large National Trust car park. Walked up through forest. Heavy shower on arrival on summit luckily cloud above the summit so could enjoy the views. Excellent peak. Very prominent for miles. Company: Soloiandesbottes17/10/2016
Walked up from the new car park, then down the north side and back through the landslip and woods. Perfect short walk.Neolith15/10/2016
From massive new NT carpark. Easy but very eroded path to nice ridge walk.jenx06/10/2016
Repeat from the same CP to south, now National Trust improved with pay and display :-( Luckily used our NT membership to avoid the toll. Nothing new of the path, just as eroded so where are the fees going? Lovely viewpoint at end of day following 6 previous Marilyns in a row from Hegdon Hillnordicstar06/10/2016
From the National Trust car park, through the woods on the west side, then up through the bracken just south of the cliff, to the summit pillarMariana Trench17/07/2016
