4/5. Parked at the viewpoint to the E and walked up the track to the other county hp and the trig point. Cloud closing in with a reducing view N. Solorichard6929/11/2023

Nice walk up from CPlordtonult28/09/2023
Decided to do this hill properly and started from village of Rhigos at bottom. Walked up through the forest to Hairpins on A4061. Path across the first hairpin was fine, but the path over the second, bigger and steeper, soon disappeared and the steep slope was covered with deep and soft vegetation: hard, slow work!! once at the top, the mile of track to the summit was easy. The southern slopes of the hill have been made a Wind Farm, and this looks an easier option if convenient. I've now done all British Marilyns over 600m.IanHHill13/09/2023

From road viewpoint, saw zipline customers heading down. Trig point has had a fresh lick of paint - still smells fresh and adjacent grass also paint splattered. Solo.Nick Canute13/02/2023

08:00, 8 degrees (10 later) overcast, calm. Followed unofficial path alongside road from viewpoint (just follow the litter) then cabby and wet bridleway churned up by vehicles and drier track higher up. On to Craig y Llyn Boundary.Wycombe Wanderer11/01/2022

Parked at high point on A4601. Visited the County Top 589m first. Good easy tracks. Solo.Dangerous Dave25/11/2021
From A4061 along cycle route 47 on wide wind farm tracks from 922026. Trig point on left off minor track north of route 47. Uninspiring, considering it's a Sim, Marilyn and County High Point. KeithByTheC06/10/2021
After the first kilometre or so the bridle way shown on map no longer exists but the track just to the north does. Follow this to a large stone marker (which looks rather like a trig point), turn left and after a short way trig point is on your right. Equally straightforward on the windfarm track to the south, turn right at a distinctive Y shaped marker.dickscroop06/10/2021
Cycled to the top from Glyneath, 5 miles up, 5 miles down! Weeeeeeeee! The highest County Top where you can cycle.pclyndes03/09/2021

3/6 Dewey day. From the picnic area at SN 922 020, along the forest road and then up forest rides as others to Mynydd Tynewydd. Then along forest/wind farm roads to SN 942 032 and along rough grassy track to Hirwaun Common. From there back to the main wind farm road to the A4061 at SN 922 027. Made the mistake of trying to follow FP diagonally over open area. A combination of huge tussocks, burnt heather and very wet underfoot made this section very unpleasant, until decent track along the escarpment edge met, then easy going along edge with short diversion to locate the Trig at the summit of Craig y Llyn. Returned to the car easily via wind farm road. 17km with 350m ascent in 4 hours. (S)silveracorn_alan22/07/2020
