From Beinn Dearg down NE ridge to gate in deer fence at end of forest track in the valley floor. Stayed on north side of new deer fence crossing boggy ground and older deer fence then up side of small woodland onto heathery slopes to bealach between MB & BH. Picked up a decent path from there to main summit.Jossker03/06/2023
From the layby with the bin. Surprisingly easy going on the track, which now goes further thsn currently shown on Google earth....looks like it may link up with the track coming around the south of Ben Halton. Steep ascent up grassy rakes studded with primroses. Great view of the east end of Loch Earn ftom the summit.Clive G01/05/2023
Ascent by SMC route from Glen Artney chuch CP. First ATV track from wall corner invisible lower down; aim well W (L of bracken) before curving E higher up. Return to col to Ben Halton, drop W to c.450m and contour S to quarry road crossing deer fence. Galltywenallt26/04/2023
From parking at the layby east of the railway bridge on the A85. Along the riverbank, over the bridge, right onto the forestry track, up to the 160m contour. Reasonable path through the felled area to a higher forestry track at the 300m contour. To the high point of the track at the 360m contour. Then ESE bashing up a felled area onto fairly steep heathery, tussocky ground, the gradient easing at 560m. Retraced steps, surprised to see about six goats in the felled area at about 180m asl.Owen B25/04/2023
From Tynereoch using forest track around the west side of the hill to its highest point. Then on trodden path, deer tracks and rough heather to the summit. Descended to the south on a trodden path for part of the way but left path to continue to coll and then went up Ben Halton on a grassy rake (no heather bashing on this one). Returned back to the coll then round the west side of Mor Bheinn to rejoin the forest track for walk out. Great views from both hills.Fife Walking05/03/2023
Parking east of railway bridge at Tynreoch. Good forest road takes you higher than marked on the map. Feint tracks take you to the summit trig. On to Ben Halton. With bolton.Dangerous Dave06/01/2023
Parked in a small layby at 716235. Crossed the old railway bridge and followed the forest road to 711210. Directly to the summit with Dangerous Dave. Clear skies!bolton06/01/2023
Gills' route. Track goes further than on my map. Easy on heather up to summit. Lots of flies & deer ticks. Leisurely 4hours40.rogreeves07/07/2022
Alone, started just before the bridge, parked in lay-by with a bin. You can come down the embankment just after the bridge to avoid walking on road. Wide tracks take you to the other side of the hill. I came down a grassy patch along a small river, much easier than the way I went up it. Start point of that is 709215.lots of blueberry bushes on the top and a few cloudberrytallblond29/05/2022
SHC walk from CP NE of Dalrannoch, anticlockwise by road and track past Tomanour to Mor Bheinn and Ben Halton, SE to Blairmore and back along Scottish National trail.TRG31801/05/2022
Parked at lay-by east of Tynreoch. On the way back, I found a good path along the river from the lay-by to the railway bridge, much better than walking the A85. A short way on the old railway line then the forestry track, which does indeed go a long way up the hill. Very pleasant at the start with varied trees and good scenery, industrial forestry beyond. From the end of the track, it's easy to contour up to join the ridge on grassy animal tracks, then a path up the ridge. Choice of routes below the summit; best is the higher grassy path traversing towards the trig, not the lower heathery variant. Fine views but strong winds and cold, heavy showers made it inadvisable to hang around. Nice walk.Gill25/10/2021
From Dalchruin via Ben Halton on way to Creag na h Eararuidh.MichaelF28/09/2021
Circuit of 5 tops from Dalchruin including 2 Grahams on N side of Glen Artney.IanHHill11/06/2021
Same as Vuirich, from Tynereoch. Parking spots both sides of the road, cross river by old railway bridge. Then to the top of the extended track at 420m. extensive animal tracks ease a route up the heather.hils28/05/2021
Solo up from Glen Artney. Very tough goingPlay2End15/05/2021
From Tynreoch to the north, up forest road to Tom nan Iolair. This road has been extended in a switchback part way up the west face of Mor Bheinn. From track end, followed animal tracks towards col between Ben Halton and Mor Bheinn, but joined the ridge closer to Mor Bheinn. Cold wind and snow flurries.vuirich30/04/2021
Trail run, Mor Bheinn & Beinn Dearg, Forest of Glenartney Fog, difficult terrain off the 4x4 tracksHuwel03/03/2021
MC Greg S. From the north along frozen Landie tracks, then straight to the summit up deep heather slopes. About 20cm of powder snow. Good views to Vorlich and S a Chroin, the Lomonds in the east and possibly Arran to the S.Martin6629/12/2020
First Marilyn since lockdown. Walked through farm, along by river and up over the open grazing. Followed old track to quarry. Slowly bashed up heather and over deer fences. Last third followed deer tracks to the trig - best part and with Gmac. Good view of Comrie and St Fillan.elizyanne10/10/2020
MMC walk starting with Kevin, but continuing on own over the 2 Grahams folllowing the same route as kdbennett. Sunny, windy and essentially dry day. 18k and 6 hoursalexmaclennan19/07/2020
Circuit from Tynreoch, following pwbellarby's route over Mor Bheinn North Top, Mor Bheinn and Ben Halton. The hottest day of the year so far: I propped myself against a boulder on the summit of Ben Halton and watched white cirrus clouds swirl mesmerically against a deep blue sky.Nick Down130/05/2020
From church car park in Glen Artney, E along road, down track past Dalchruin to bridge, then along tracks past Dalclathick, then heading across tussocky grass to S ridge of Sron na Maoile, over summit, along ridge to Sron nam Broighleag to Creag na h-Eararuidh, continuing to Beinn Dearg, descending N then down NE to corner of foresty plantation, over old deer fence and up slopes to Mor Bheinn outside new deer fence, reached summit of Mor Bheinn, returned to col, then up to Ben Halton, descended SW to join old quarry track (crossing new deer fence twice in the process), followed track until it turned E, then headed S initially on grazed grassland, then tussocky grass to sheepfold NE of Dalclathick, joined track round to bridge over stream, and back to car park by outward route.kdbennett26/10/2019
From Glen Artney Church CP. Hard going through long grass, heather and bracken - should have done it earlier in the year!nicolajane07/07/2019
Parked a little east of Tynreoch to north of hill, followed forestry track to stream issuing from WNW aspect of summit - followed north side of stream initially then south side. Minimal deep heather.willyross02/07/2019

Quite tough going in snow-bound heather. But spectacular views in all directions once the sun broke through.summitter01/01/2018

From Dalchruin in Glen Artney. Ben Halton and Mor Bheinn. A bit of a plod through the long grass at the start but good going on the track and pathless over the fairly rough ground of the two tops. No obvious line from the end of the track just pick what looks best, wade through more long grass and occasional bracken. On return the middle fence is a good guide to the line to contour Ben Halton.dickscroop01/08/2016
5 of 6: From Beinn Dearg.ChrisR23/07/2016
From the north, along forestry road to its end, up and across hillside to almost at the Ben Halton col, then south ridge. Takes out all the steepness and rough ground.hillsman18/06/2016
Solo from Tynreoch on loggers track to NN 70563 21718 after which a bit of a slog up side of the burn to 604m spot. North Top first then across to the trig. HP could be at trig or 150m or so to NE. Plumped for the trig. On to Ben Halton. Final day's bagging of the 2016 Trig Baggers Weekend.jonglew17/04/2016
A good walk over both Grahams and all tops on the way.jenx16/04/2016
Curcuit of the two Grahams and tops from Dalchruin w Jenx. 5hrs in a ckear bright day with biting north wind. New deer fences but apart from one climb all have stiles.nordicstar16/04/2016
From church cp. after Ben Halton. Lot of newly planted trees & new deer fences all over the place.ngthack07/04/2016
Solo. Circular walk starting at NN739230 where it is possible to park at the start of a footpath along the trackbed of the former railway line, which is signposted to St Fillans and Kindrochet. Followed the signposted route to beyond Kindrocket where I turned SW on a track used by others to approach Mòr Bheinn. From this track ascended to summit of Mòr Bheinn North Top. From here went SW over a minor top at NN718214 to the cairn on Mòr Bheinn at NN717212 and then the trig point on Mòr Bheinn. The highest point is a rock adjacent to the trig point. Continued to Ben Halton. Beautiful day, weatherwise.pwbellarby20/03/2016

Solo trip, route from the N and W now available. Park on the A85 at NN717233 and follow the old railway line across the river to the start of a farm/forest track which takes you through felled forest under the west side of the hill. A route just to the south of the burn flowing WNW from near the summit avoids any difficult ground. There is a deer fence along the top of the forest which has to be climbed as there is no stile.Invicta1411/04/2014
