Nice loop from Cuil Bay. Started heading up just beyond Croich Cottages and down the South zest Ridge past pt149.
No fence issues. | HardenC | 03/03/2024 |
I asked if it was OK to park in CP for Duror Hall, and was told that is was fine.. chucking it down. Over trousrrs etc ON from the start. Easy track at back of hall, just keep going up. Grand views. Shade under one hour | VerySlowPlodder | 06/11/2023 |
Large hall CP at NN 002563 (event on but no problem with parking). Gate at NE corner of hall (NN 0021 5632). Lovely grassy path up (not as mapped). Path to trig from NM 9948 5664 | carole engel | 16/09/2023 |
Pleasant walk on a good path from the Community Centre car park. With Jill. | Dangerous Dave | 22/08/2023 |
Ample free parking at Duror & Kentallen Community Centre. Up and back along delightful grassy track to a little short of the mast, where a footpath takes you up to the cyclindrical trig point. | KeithByTheC | 27/06/2023 |
Community Hall busy with trail bike event, so parked in small layby 200 yards SW and walked over low fence and up grass and bracken slope to join the track, taking the left branch just before the summit. A magnificent viewpoint, well worth saving for a sunny day. | Nick Down1 | 01/05/2023 |
Start NN00225630. There does not appear to be a problem with parking at the community hall.
From the car park, take the obvious field gate at the back of the building to follow the obvious quad/argo track almost to the mast near the summit. A couple of hundred metres from the summit, bear left off the track and follow a foor path to the summit trig point. | geralddavison | 23/03/2023 |
Parking in community centre car park. A gate to the rear of the main building gives access to a grassy track which leads to NM 99473 56644 then a grassy path is followed to the summit trig. | PeteF | 23/10/2022 |
Simple ascent on track leading away from rear of community centre, cracking viewpoint. On own. | MorecambeMonkey | 20/09/2022 |
Staying at Kentallen walked along the tarmac cycle track to community Hall, to avoid walking along edge of A828. Up path by community centre as many others. Lovely views from the Vanessa Trig | Hirta | 04/09/2022 |
Parked at the Jubilee bunting covered Community Centre, and followed the ATV track to near the mast, then the walker's track the the trig at the summit. Splendid view up and down Loch Linnhe and across the loch to Garbh Bheinn on a beautiful sunny afternoon. 3km there and back taking a leisurely 1 hour. | silveracorn_alan | 04/06/2022 |
From village hall opposite Lagnaha Farm, followed cycle route SW to Duror, then road to Cuil Bay and around coast line to Back Hill. Crossed valley to SE and handrailed fence line to Ardsheal Hill. Descent to village hall on mast service track. Blustery showers all afternoon. | richard69 | 25/05/2022 |
With: hb; Parked at community centre (which is expanding its grounds) and followed very easy dry track up to summit (despite rain). Returned same way. | Ian Baines | 11/05/2022 |
From community hall. ‘Track’ was a muddy quagmire | Rockdoctor | 05/02/2022 |
From Community Centre, through a gate and a grassy track to summit in under an hour | keithpostie | 04/10/2021 |
As others from the community centre car park (felt a bit underdressed compared to the wedding guests that were parked there). Through the gate behind the community centre, followed track to just before the mast where a small path goes off left as the track turns right on an obvious path to the summit. Maybe a small marilyn but great views from the summit. 1.8 miles, less than 1hr walking round trip. | JulieB | 19/09/2021 |
Up grassy path behind the Community Centre. | KevPalmer | 24/07/2021 |
A quick walk up at the end of the day to catch a beautiful light show along Loch Linnhe and surrounding mountains and an almost circular rainbow. The usual route. Extremely wet after heavy rain, so rather muddy higher up. | Gill | 02/11/2020 |
Parked at the community centre. The track uphill to the mast is good but nothing like on the OS 1:25000. A 50 minute return on a glorious day. Solo. | bolton | 26/09/2020 |
The track on the OS map does not follow the same route as the grass atv radio station service track on the ground. Either way it is easy to follow from the Kentallen & Duror Community Centre car park. Just before the radio station a well worn path branches left off the track leading directly to the trig pillar and summit. The reward is fantastic views up and down Loch Linnhe, Corran Narrows to the NE and SW down the Firth of Lorn and beyond the Isle of Mull. Well impressed. Returned by same route | mntainman | 28/08/2020 |
Up-n-doon from the Community Hall on an extremely hot evening. Cold lager shandies required to rehydrate. | summitter | 14/08/2020 |
Ceres club weekend. Fab weather away from the hills. Great views all round. Café closed. | Play2End | 01/02/2020 |
From community hall at Lagnaha Farm, up the grassy track and short path. Less than hr, but fine views to Ben Nevis. | N.Morters | 09/11/2019 |
Part of a 20k run round the peninsula. | quadbarrel | 15/10/2019 |
On my own. Parked at community centre | alwaysinshorts | 06/03/2019 |
From Cuil Bay. Followed track to the south west ridge and easily through a couple of fences to the top. Great views but Mrs Mindlessflogger was blown over descended which wrenched a recent skiing injury and put her out of action for a few days. The bays west of Cuil Bay are delightful. | mindlessflogger | 23/02/2019 |
With Peter J, Andrew M, Chris W. Too grotty for higher hills. Easy parking at the community hall. Straight up the greasy Land Rover track. Last 100 metres or so in the teeth of a gale and cold rain. | Owen B | 18/02/2019 |
50 minutes return on a clear breezy day via track to mast from community centre. | willyross | 13/12/2018 |
From community hall car park up phone track. Great view, showers but not on me. En route Stront to Edinb. | Rounsfell | 06/10/2018 |

Via track that starts behind community centre | Swindon Bagger | 06/03/2017 |
Bus to Lagnaha, round back of community centre hall, and up green track (slippery in places) almost to summit, footpath to very top. Lovely sunny morning with glorious views up and down Loch Linnhe and across to Kingairloch hills. Ben Nevis very impressive under snow. Back down the same way. | mainnirnamfiadh | 03/03/2017 |
Steep grassy track from village hall an easy way, drop down to beach and sea side return makes a pleasant return, Ground lumpy on the tops. | TheWicken | 19/01/2017 |
should've followd the proper track | scoob | 03/01/2017 |

Track from village hall | Gallovidian | 18/06/2015 |
70 min bag from Duror Community Centre, using rough landrover track to start. The views must be excellent but drizzle and a 1500 ft cloud base limited them today. Coffee and Cakes at the Stalker Castle centre after- always a good bet. | pwheeler | 27/05/2015 |
From the Community Centre via the grass track. Great view of Ardgour. | Play2End | 27/03/2015 |
