Peak number 2. After a pressing drive with 2 hours for Nahtan, 2 for Marcus, and the last 2 for me, we arrived at Wansdale at 4am, very soggy still and tired. Waking the 3 in the back 20mins before arrival was hillarious, and Chris panicked, and guzzled 4 protein bars for breakfast! Bar a small detour to the Scafell hotel, we were kindl;y given 2 bottles of water by an organised company group, and with headtorches on, started again. The light was fully up by 4.30, and the torches were soon away. Again, the terrible wether concluded no sunrise veiws, and we were soon in the clouds, yet not as wet as before. the Final slog up to the top of scafell with scree like rock all over was tough since we were climb almost 250m every km! Again, once at the top, we had enough time for a quick photo, relayer and start back down, this time less wet and less cold. Again, once below the clouds, they had lifted for a decent veiw, but the stairs down to Wansdale seemed to go on forever, legs and knees reByronHaywood06/07/2019

Morning start from Wasdale head - just me and the dog. Very quiet walk. Started ~7.15 and at summit before 10 (2.5hr ascent). Sun in eyes on way up but quite clear view and very few people on path. Summit freezing wind chill with light snow on ground. Didn't stay long. Descent hindered by dog's short legs! Took about 1.5hr. By the time we reached the base it was baking hot. Path up was chock full of people and dogs coming up.MysteriousSue04/05/2019
Climbed up Mickleden Beck to Angle Tarn, then the summit of Allen Crags (784m), Great End (910m), Scarfell Pike (978m) for the 'On Top of....' event and then back down via Rossett Pike (651m) and Stake Pass. We finished the day with a walk climb back up to Side Pike (330m). With ASW.meltdiceburg28/04/2019

Did not make it. Took 10 people up for my stag do, I was hoping to complete the third of my 'Three Peaks'. Only 3 summitted, it was just too wet, and far too long in it along the corridor route. Intimidating hill, it certainly gained my respect! I will be back.tumpawumpa26/08/2018

Set off despite unsettled forecast. Wind became ever stronger as climbed, then hit by hail.Surrounded by low cloud then, miraculously, the mists swirled away as we gained the summit' revealing Great Gable, Lingmell and the lakes below. All struggle worthwhile!Peak Rambler23/08/2018
Parked at Seathwaite Farm. Followed River Derwent to cross Stockley Bridge. Climbed up past Taylorgill Force and followed Styhead Gill to Styhead Tarn. Turned left to follow footpath up past Sprinkling Tarn and Great End. Turned right then right again to follow footpath up towards Ill Crag. Over boulder fields and scramble down and up between the headwaters of Piers Gill & Little Narrowcove. Final push up to summit to join the hoards who had climbed up from Wasdale. Beautiful day with only a little cloud while we were on the summit. Returned the same way and back to the car in precisely 7 hours. A good route with slightly more people heading to the summit as we descended.TractorBoy11/08/2018

With Rory. Parked at the National Trust car park at Wasdale Head. A very hot start up the Brown Tongue Path - mercifully a breeze arrived at about 500 m. We went up via Mickledore and had a deserved snack and drink at the stretcher box admiring the view of Eskdale. From there it was a comparatively easy finish to the top, where the views were absolutely superb. A quick descent via the usual path (Hollow Stones) to the reward of a swim in Wast Water. What a brilliant day!James McKnight01/07/2018

Parked at national trust car park. Headed up past lingmell ghyll to Scafell pike. Easy path to follow. Descended via Mickledore and took the gully to the left of broad stand up to foxes tarn. Easy scramble avoiding the wet rocks. Took a right up the scree path to Sca fell. Great views over to Scafell pike and down Deep gully. Descended by green how back to wasdale. Fantastic round.Zoe Little26/06/2018
Having worked on my fitness after a year of illness in 2017, I found the highest peak in England a most pleasant and straightforward climb. Even left the path at one point to do some scrambling. First hour was difficult but after that easy. Will definitely be back to the Lake District for more hiking at some point.Thomas McIlvaney25/06/2018
Ascent of Lingmell from Wasdale Campsite Car Park via Goat Crags. Then on to Scafell Pike. Descent to Mickledore and Broad Strand. Ascent of Scafell from Foxes Rake and Foxes Tarn. On to Slight Side via Long Green. Return to Wasdale via Long Gill, Kettle Cove and Fence Wood.raymooremanx24/06/2018

Second round of Wainwrights (but third time up Scafell Pike). Camped at NT Wasdale Head. Walked up via the Piers Gill path to bag Middleboot Knot and Round How. Then Corridor and tourist path to the (very crowded) summit of Scafell Pike. Low cloud much of the way up, broke briefly at top of Piers Gill. Started raining at Lingmell Col then rained up to the Pike and back down the tourist path. With Dave.Skip217/06/2018
