Round of Wainrights with eldest son (16) from YHA Honister Hause - Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Green Gable, Great Gable, Fleetwith Pike (and also the Nuttall Honister Crag). Unexpectedly sunny all day, forecast afternoon thunderstorm only arrived in the evening. Would not recommend descending the western scree slope of Great Gable.clyoung12/08/2019

With Richie from Honister Pass - Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Base Brown, Green Gable, Great Gable and both Kirk Fells. Lovely day with snow on the highest peaks. Head torches required from the top of Loft Beck so abandoned the final few planned hills.Herbert Anchovy24/11/2018

With brother and his wife. A little cooler and cloudier today. Still shorts and t shirt ( and trainers) all day and a leisurely chat about the World Cup with birthday group at the top of GReat Gable. From Honister Pass, bypassing Brandreth and the other one), over Green Gable, descent very loose and steep as were off track. Found path to Becks Head and back by Moses Trod. Perhaps the best views yet and certainly of Pillar, Ennerdale, Buttermere. 5 hours but should have been much shorter,niallp06/07/2018

On the way to Act of Remembrance on Great Gable. Returned to Windy Gap and went down Aaron Slack. Followed the gill on north side and down beside Taylorgill Force to the farm. Weather dry, sunny, not much breeze. With D and L.Skip212/11/2017
path down to Windy Gap then straight up to Green Gable then back to windy Gap and down Aaron slack and returned to Wasdale. Cold day, misty on top, windy so significant chill factor. Aaron slack difficult - scree, needed poles. route to winding gap from Great Gable quite challenging.karentracey30/10/2017

From Brandreth in thick fog. I had to use a map and compass to find my way to the summit as I don't have GPS on my ancient phone. Stopped for a snack and water and lost my handkerchief in the process. Fell runner appeared as if by magic in the fog and disappeared... very surreal. Found a lost hiker at the bottom of Windy Gap and pointed him in the best direction.NorthernWayfarer25/07/2017
