Last one of the day for Jonny Connie & I before the somewhat steep and slippery descent to have a very brief dip in the freezing waters of Bleaberry Tarn. Matters weren't enhanced by the fact that not really being able to see a few feet in front of you we set off down the wrong path to Crummock Water and then had to reascend to find the right path.Alphaville19911/02/2024

The High Stile Ridge, east to west from Buttermere. Visited Haystacks, Seat, High Crag, High Stile, Red Pike (Buttermere), Little Dodd, Starling Dodd, Great Borne, and back by Scale Force. A windy day on the tops, but after initial rain, it brightened up to sunny intervals. The Buttermere valley looked wonderful in the afternoon sun. 25km with1700m ascent taking 9 hours.silverwolf_alan20/08/2023
