Bec picked me up from work. Tuesday evening adventure on the hottest day of the year. Getting into Grasmere about 17:40 and getting quickly changed headed off. Walking passed the Wordsworth house Allan Bank with great views of Helm crag. This is a gorgeous walk with great views odd shaped Trees. Although not really that hard it was a killer in the heat, sapping all our energy. After wetting our faces in Wray gill and then crossing we head up to final steep part to the summit. Fantastic views some of my favourite for a while and always good to be able to stop and chill on the summit. From there headed straight down through 100’s of baby frogs back to Grasmere. Stopped at Wateredge for a pint of the new Wainwrights Altitude IPA, picked up my van from home and back home for 10pm. Great night.Scotty 2 Hotty23/07/2019
