Beautiful morning and walking in sunshine up to Selside Pike. Clag came in after that and remaining tops had at best Hazy very restricted views. Typically cloud broke up when descending by Little Mosedale Beck.johnkaysleftleg26/08/2019

TC, EC, Pete & Alfie Day trip to Sadgill from Lincoln. Last peak of the day but we went wrong from the top of Tarn Crag, losing too much height, so had to regain the height and find the path. End of a long day. Sore knees at the end!TopCat195903/08/2019
Parked Sadgill, up the Gatesgarth Pass track and swung round and up behind Tarn Crag, bit of a slog. Then over to Harrop Pike and back to Grey Crag. Dropped down to Great Howe and back to car. Hot sweaty day again.Mark T14/07/2019

From Mardale Head, Haweswater: Selside Pike, Branstree, Tarn Crag, Grey Crag, Harrop Pike. Beautiful hot May Bank holiday weekend. Went to the Punch Bowl in Askham village for a meal afterwards.Lazylizzie06/05/2018
The start of our 6 day bank holiday weekend. Dropped Myla off and headed off on the adventure. First issue was the road into the valley through Burnside was closed so had to head up to Shap and turn off down into the valley of Longsleddale. Once at Sadgill bridge we parked up I realised I forgot my fleece and had no coat…amateur. We headed through the gate straight up easy gully stopping for breakfast on a cliff edge using our new Jetboil again. From the followed the route up to the summit. Seemed to go on and on forever but great views of the valley, survey posts and kentmere pike and the Yorkshire dales of course. Great start to the week.Scotty 2 Hotty02/05/2018

Sunny on our 2nd peak of Easter Monday 2017. Subway Veggie Delite on top! Ran a little on the way down to make sure we were on time to get Al's train from Oxenholme. Panic at the bottom - mislaid phone - under car (duh!). Still lambs everywhere.AlanDStewart17/04/2017

Last of four Wainwrights reached on the Swindale Round route 11 mile in length was from Stuart Marshall's book Walking the Wainwrights. Drive as far as you can up the minor road from Rosgill near Shap there's enough space fro a few cars.WAYNE ROWLETT04/03/2017
