From Rest Dodd, then to Brock Cragsjd1626/07/2019
Parked in Martindale, up to Angle Tarn, over Buck Crag and Satura Crag, started raining and wind very strong and gusty, pushed on to Rest Dodd and down to The Nab. Not too boggy.Mark T21/07/2019

Descended straight down through the deer park following about 6 other people. Clear and obvious path with styles over walls and fences, Why are they still there if they don't want you to go that way. No warning signs until you get down through the park. Other walkers also were oblivious to this valley being a deer park. The signs say they prefer you to avoid the park but don't actually say you cannot go there. Saw more deer the day after on Place Fell.Craig6722/06/2019

The final hill of six Wainwrights with John, Malin and Joel in blazing Easter Saturday sunshine. Not being able to take the easy route down to Martindale and having to walk the long way round is a tad annoying.Richard20/04/2019
Hartsop - Hayeswater - Rest Dodd - The Nab - Filter House - Hartsop. Incredibly windy. First time I've ever been knocked off my feet.MountainTerrier22/03/2019

Solo walk from Hartsop over The Knott, Rest Dodd, The Nab, Angletarn Pikes and Brock Crags. Weather overcast and drizzly with cloud over The Knott, Rest Dodd and Brick Crags. Windy! Descent from Brock Crags in mist.Andy8114/08/2018
Relatively easy going from Rest Dodd across the ridge after a dry summer, no bog issues at all.JulieB04/08/2018

With Jo Richardson and Liz Mckie on a day off from work. Wet day and a little cold.jonesj225/04/2018
From rest dodd the route over the clear Pete bog was clear, steep descent onto the nab then negotiate the bog the a mile or so walk to the top. great views from the summit, Myla enjoyed them so much she needed to take a dump and wipe her bum with grass...KIDS!! the route back was exactly the way we came because of the restrictions of the private land. was tough going getting back up Rest Dodd but from there all down hill and very easy!, stopped off and chilled on the beach at Hayeswater which was stunning and needed after a tough day. from there the straight forward path to the car for a night or IPA lamb sunday roast and a family film of Willow. Great day.Scotty 2 Hotty08/04/2018

Hartsop - Brock Crags - The Nab - Rest Dodd - The Knott - Rampsgill Head - High Raise - Kidsty Pike - High Street - Thornthwaite Crag - Gray Crag. Lots of peat hags on this hill - try to do it in snow or with frozen ground to make it easier!twg2722/01/2018
From Rest Dodd, a lot of filthy peat hags on the col. Cold but ground not frozen so it was a case of tuft hopping to avoid the rubbish. Returned to the car at Dale Head via direct route N - very steep.jonglew06/01/2018

From Rest Dodd, followed the path out to The Nab and back. It wasn't too wet through the peat hags but after heavy rain it would be a mudfest.Sprog02/09/2017

Grey skies clearing to nice afternoon, very atmospheric. Beautiful round of Martindale tops from Martindale Church. Could see over 200 red deer in valley bottoms and high up in valley heads of each of Boredale, Bannerdale and Rampsgill.mavero1002/07/2017
From YHA Helvellyn through Patterdale and up past Angle Tarn and Rest Dodd. Came down very steep north end on my bum! Avoid or ascend that way.Nick14/06/2017
Left Rest Dodd thinking that The Nab looked a long trek across peat bog and very uninspiring. How wrong we were! Had to make a careful descent before quite quickly traversing the deer park but what a wonderful view down Martindale awaited us-perfect lunch stop and a spot of sun-bathing.Peak Rambler01/06/2017

Place Fell to Beda Fell from Martindale (with an out and back to The Nab, which I should have done with Rest Dodd).tomd427/04/2017
Park up at Bridgend, up to Angletarn Pikes, onto Brock Crags, Rest Dodd and then The Nab before doing a 180 and back to car. All 4 seasons in one day, sunny, windy, then hail, snow and then rain. Interesting anyway.GaryG25/04/2017
