A pesky little top! Quite stony. We couldn’t decide on best route back and eventually decided on heading down west to Loch. Very slabby as expected so slow. Path by Loch side pleasant mostly until last few km. I lost my red hat on the way down. A faithful friend. With B and R. | jenx | 02/04/2023 |
I had missed this one when I first climbed Ben Starav in 1984 as it wasnt a munro top back then. My dad had the foresight to predict that it might get upgraded some day so he had nipped out to bag it while I waited on Meall Cruidh. Some 38 year later I was back to claim it on route to the Graham, Beinn nan Lus. I'm sure my dad would have been chuffed that I came back for it. | Jossker | 28/05/2022 |

A circuit of Ben Starav and its Tops from the Glen Etive road by the Coileitir turning. Slow going on a hot day, albeit the views are worth taking time over. Three deer watched me as I drank from a stream between Stob Coire Dheirg and Meall Cruidh. | Nick Down1 | 03/08/2019 |

With: solo; The ascent of Ghlas Bheinn Mhor also required an axe for two large snow fields that had to be crossed. The ridge following was no problem but the ascent on to Ben Starav was a long way although straightforward. | Ian Baines | 27/04/1995 |
