Parked at the little church of St. Peter's in Martindale. The access road is very tricky at busy times so beware to dare if driving. Accent was a steep but grassy hike, the sticks help here as it was slippery in places. The weather was overcast with a little drizzly rain. Temperature was approx. 18 Degrees C. Quite blustery at the summit but fantastic views of Ullswater were recorded on camera.Symon1p23/08/2019

My first 24 marilyns in 24 hours attempt - solo unsupported with 2 pre-placed bikes / and provisions on road sections. Mangaged 18 marilyns. This was No 16 from bike at the Hause, on an icy midnight with screaming foxes(?) close by. Then cycled around Ullswater -beautiful but freezing cold, under a full moon with moon shadows to Little Mell Fell.Chris Pearson28/03/2002

last peak of a 25km circuit of tops around Howtown, in hot sun in Oct ! Feeling done in now -crawled up this easy slope -just about managing to overtake a mother and toddler. Long rest once over summit.Felt like a long 3 miles along lake path back to car at Patterdale - gupled water down. Then to BarrowChris Pearson04/10/1986

From Place Fell today, beautiful views throughout. Almost lost waterproof trousers on top, blown away by a gale force gust. Snow covered summit area. Walked back along lake side path to Glenridding, almost had it to myself. 2nd visit with Pete on day we did Steel Knotts.pwheeler07/01/1984
