Made our way down and had a break behind a wall which was ace! Short pull up to the top. Best summit of the day with great views. From the summit we made our way to Gurnal Dubbs tarn. What an amazing tarn. Bec had a swim in it. From there we went passed potters tarn and back to the car. Quick change of t shirt and we went to the watermill for dinner. I had 2 pints of golden retriever and the specials board pork chop. Was really good. Got home to start the series sex life on Netflix. Sunday we went to Marlswood as bec enjoyed swimming so much at gurnal dubs she wanted to do it again.Scotty 2 Hotty09/09/2023

CW circuit of Brunt Knott, Sleddale Forest, Potter Fell 2, Ulgraves and Brunt Knott South Top from widening by gate in lay-by below Brunt Knott Farm. Worth following tracks where possible to avoid menacing vegetation and stileless walls.Nick Down127/06/2021
A beautiful walk on a beautiful sunny spring day with L from Garnett Bridge - a little gem of a hamlet above the deep potholed gorge of the fast tumbling River Sprint (hence its name perhaps). Green fields and lambs and birds singing. The Lakes were welcoming us back -there really is nowhere quite like it. A great choice for a quiet outing on a sunny Sunday. Dotted our way up over minor tops with a spectacular find of a volcanic crag with a glaciated flat slab top on the p20 above Nether House Farm. Spot of bouldering on lower section. Climbers have already discovered it I later read. The 'Wainwright summit cairn' being on the edge of the summit rise is very prominent from down in Longsleddale. Walls without gates made for a careful hurdlesome descent back to Garnet Bridge (and our hire van -using up the rental period after our return from Sussex yesterday).Chris Pearson31/05/2021
From Staveley - via Potters Tarn (well signposted) and Gurnal Dubs in the snow. People ice skating and ice swimming at Gurnal Dubs. No views on top. With GFEFionalevey09/01/2021

Solo - OMG!!! What a disaster tonight. I started ascending the fell from the East and at the start a group of cows were in the field with their young. There were no problems to start with but then one particularly very angry cow continued to follow me and was very angry. I did not run and decided to calmly go back down. I then decided to try again from the South. Guess what - the same cow was near the fell and then started to run at me as I was descending the fell.outlyingfells2014/09/2020

Sleddale community hall car park to Sleddale Forest, Brunt Knott and its south top, Potter Fell and Ulgraves. Back along the bridleway from Nether House Farm. Marshy in parts, but plenty of ATV and animal tracks helped.summitter14/07/2020

From Garnett Bridge, parking at SD 5247 9915, possibly a passing place, but plenty big enough for a car. Little tricky with a deer fence and several stock fences to negotiate. Might be better to take the longer route from SD 5148 9805, as others have.jonglew22/09/2018
Parked along minor road to the south, walked up footpath to track, turned left and then ascended open access land from gate near lake. Went through gate in wall to the south west of the summit.JohnW19/02/2018
Wainwright Outlying Fells Walk 2. An exploration of Potter Fell from the Back Road near Staveley, visiting Brunt Knott South Top, Brunt Knott, Potter Fell and Ulgraves. 12km with 570m ascent in 3h 45m. (S)silveracorn_alan09/12/2017
From Garret Bridge. After the 2 Potter Fells.ngthack30/10/2017
Surprisingly easy parking along the road to the south in one of the many pull-ins (alt 159m). Footpath from the south leads through a couple of fields to an unmade-up lane. Stile at the start of the open access gives entry to large area of rough fell. Look for a gate through the wall at the right-angled bend south west of the summit. This gives easy acess to the top (whichever one it is!) 4.8 km return, about 1 hour.moorsman27/10/2017

Good view of the fells I started my outlier mission in a few weeks ago - The Forest looks bigger than its height from here. AW liked his monuments. Last fell of the day, returned to Brunt Knott Farm.Wycombe Wanderer07/09/2016
