Circular walk from Kirkland with Euan & Robert, in fine conditions (except misty on summit), taking in Great Dun Fellbarnz4813/09/2019
Kirkland > Greg's Hut > Cross Fell > Little Dun Fell > Great Dun Fell > Knock Old Man > Meldon Hill > Viewing Hill > Round Hill > Greg's Hut > Kirkland. One of the hardest and most ambitious walk I have ever done. Hardest bag was the walk to Meldon Hill from Knock Old Man due the the terrain. Otherwise the hardest parts were the river crossings required for the route I took. Drizzly rain for pretty much all the time and had to walk to Greg's hut and back from/to Kirkland in dark with head torch. Solo. Don't know how far I walked but my watch said 64,000 steps / 6,000 kcal for the day mostly 'off-piste'.axoree14/08/2019
