After Seagar Hill, went back down the footbath and then up a forestry track to avoid a farmer in the adjacent field. Lots of CCTV and no trespassing signs. Good views from the trig, and the smell of wild garlic nearby. Seen by the farmer on the way back, but was quickly back down to the road as rain had set in. | Droplet7494 | 14/03/2024 |
5 Marilyns from base in Ludlow. Aconbury Hill, Garway Hill, Ruardean Hill, May Hill, and Seager Hill. Ruardean Hill was almost a drive by, Seager Hill was a bit of a nettle fest. The other three made the day. | Longwojo | 10/06/2023 |
3/5 Marilyns today, parked to south at right of gate, parking for 1 or 2 small cars max, through hole in hedgerow to left of gate, up easy track which bears off to right and up across grassy hill, join gravel path and up to ridge, you'll need to hop a couple of fences here if you want to bag the trig but I went right and up and ended up near enough to the trig on other side of bwf | Tribal2er | 05/03/2023 |
From 622379, gate entrance ruined by recent forest lorries. Parked a little further west in next wide gate entrance. Up old Row to ridge. Turned left along ridge to top. Sunday (no shooting), forestry extraction appears finished. No one around. The bit west of the trig looked higher and we walked it. GPS coords confirm it. | iangalbraith | 27/11/2022 |
On bike from Ledbury, Hereford bound. | davechaffey | 29/04/2022 |
Walked along the ridge top track from the PRoW ( parking for 1 vehicle where the PRoW begins ). Lots of CCTV signs & Superb Views. | DanMaisieBex | 21/04/2022 |
Up footpath and along ridge from the southeast, as described by others. Lots of CCTV signs, no people, not many pheasants. | davidpettit84 | 09/04/2022 |
Limited parking next to footpath south of hill then along track on crest. Good views. Didn't bother climbing the fence for the trig. | Nick Canute | 01/04/2022 |
Good parking. Good path. Did not feel threatened or aimed at. Lovely. | Play2End | 30/10/2021 |
Parked at SO 6116 3787 (just S of the junction) as forestry work had temporarily closed the road above that. On the hill itself I approached the summit from the SE - needed to get over a gate to reach the trig and then a fence to get back onto the track to the summit. Didn't see any people, but lots of threatening signage and pheasants. | paulhilder | 25/08/2021 |
Parked in the usual spot and hiked up. Beware that new signs aplenty regarding CCTV and high fences installed. Lots of hunting perches around too (and no shortage of pheasant to shoot). Reached as close to the summit as safe to do so without either trepassing or being shot ! | jamiequackers | 18/07/2021 |
park 6224 379 up row past big badger sett to ridge walk se to south top then nw to north top walk to point 269 return same route and visit trig 2 bwf to cross note numerous'new' private keep out cctv signs along ridge so sharpish | underhill | 28/06/2021 |

Parked at church. Up road and across various overgrown fields and barbed wire fences. Lots of farm work going on near top. Back down what I assumed was some kind forestry track. Huge gate but no problem getting round | ketzster | 30/06/2020 |
Parked on school road and walked up the track to the common and on to the trig and summit. No barbed wire anymore. | Stevooo | 16/05/2020 |
Was here for the trig 7 or 8 years ago so good to get this one tidied up today. | Alex C | 09/03/2020 |
Parked by a field entrance near the top of a lane signposted Durlow Common. Continued up the lane and then along the right of way to the ridgeline. Took in both summits and trig point along the way. Nice views across to the Malvern Hills! | Gerry the Ranger | 06/03/2020 |
Usual start (SO6225037935).Visited both tops & trig. | ger | 23/12/2019 |
Trig is between highest hills ! | gettingonabit | 03/11/2019 |
Same route as others. Room for the car by footpath sign. Nettles everywhere, especially around the trig. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 11/08/2019 |
Parked 6225037935. Grassy track passes by trig on NE side before high point near edge of track. Long wet grass made for soggy boots and trousers. | NormanW | 20/07/2019 |
Parked at SO 622379 - straight forward path up from here to trackss on ridge. Bit of vegetation on route but pleasant compared to many other Marilyns. Crossed barbed wire fence and waded through nettles to trig on the way to the summit area. Summit needs a cairn - went to gps grid ref on hill bagging then had a good walk around (on and off the track) invade of other higher bits. Returned by same route. Bagged whilst en route to Cardiff for work. | assynt_bob | 27/05/2019 |
From GR022379 parking at confluence of tracks. Track up the ridge spine, bypassed the trig at the side of the field (over barbed fence and midst brambles and nettles, wearing shorts! No thanks) summit unmarked on track, but shortly after zigzag round 2 high gate fences. | N.Morters | 01/05/2019 |

1/6 after visiting Tom in Brum. Running, from SE. Just after dawn. Dry, warm, hazy but view. Out and back. | Rounsfell | 17/02/2019 |
From Upper Hazel Farm.Very enjoyable stroll along the ridge track in the late afternoon sunshine. | SteveG | 15/02/2019 |
Parked just down from Park Farm infront of a locked gate then walked directly up the footpath to the track, no problem with vegetation at this time of year. Walked along the ridge as stated by someone previously locked gates can be easily walked around onto track. Came down track from col ?? back to just beside the footpath on the road. | JulieB | 27/12/2018 |
From SO 622379 - the path going up from here is thin and could be difficult to find in descent - it meets the ridge at about 70m E of a small transmitter mast. The path W along the ridge is blocked by two staggered and locked unscalable gates - the stagger allows them to be bypassed without difficulty, but then a BWF has to be negotiated to reach the trig. A vehicular track returns to the parking spot from SO 621382. | Isbjorn | 11/11/2018 |
6/6 Marilyn Day. Seager Hill from Durlow Common. Groping through the undergrowth in the dark to locate the summit – too many brambles! Many pheasant as well! | silveracorn_alan | 26/10/2018 |
Ridge track from south east, a bit overgrown in places but mostly OK. | Topographer57 | 12/08/2018 |
Parked at SO622379 and took track to ridge to both summits. Thistles, brambles, nettles and horse flies - not a day for shorts | Ramblingpaul | 15/07/2018 |
With K from woods above Park Farm. Alive with houseflies and cleggs. | Ashley | 14/07/2018 |
7/11M parked at start of path to the east. | robertphillips | 20/10/2017 |
Stealth bag at the end of the day. Parked by Park Coppice in the gateway to a forestry track a few metres along from the start of the FP. Best not use this parking place during working hours, as there is work above. The FP is nice, narrow and steep, and joins a scruffy, grassy vehicle track, which runs to the top of the hill. Descent via the forestry track is quick and easy. | Gill | 13/10/2017 |
Parked at field gate then ploughed through mud until track cleared a bit. Pleasant enough stroll along the ridge with good views to north east. | SS | 19/03/2017 |
3/3. Parked just down from Park Farm then walked up a good track to high point on GPS then located the trig after it. Good views. Company: Solo well except for thousands of game birds. | iandesbottes | 19/10/2016 |
A nice walk along the ridge. Lots of pheasants. | jenx | 06/10/2016 |
Repeat as last time from the lane, cleared woods now regrowing. This is same place the FP goes from and if bold can take that up towards summit and cut the corner - the way we came down. Much better, clearer day. Many pheasants around and evidence of vehicles on the track but saw no one and visited tops and trig untroubled by naught but the lovely views | nordicstar | 06/10/2016 |

Parked at the top of the lane that goes through Durlow common. 627387. Followed the ROW to where it crosses the ridge and then followed the vehicle track along the ridge to the highest point. Not sure if this is a right of way but it should be as it follows a limestone ridge that has probably been walked for 1000s of years. Good views to the east. | mindlessflogger | 02/01/2015 |
5/8 Parked at edge of forest where logging is taking place and walked up along muddy road to obvious high point | Fergalh | 15/12/2014 |
Parked at 627387 on the bend where there is no gate onto the field. A pleasant but muddy walk of 1 hour 10 minutes with GB. Summit indistinct on pathway but we are sure we walked over it. With GB. | bolton | 25/11/2014 |
Parked by a field entrance on lane just above Upper Hazel Farm - SW up lane to join bridleway - NW along bridleway to summit. (PM) | gerrybowes | 25/11/2014 |
Walked up from Tarrington, took in Trigpoint and second top. | Buteobuteo | 24/10/2014 |
As per David Gradwell for route and parking. Encountered no one apart from numerous Pheasants. Trig point on return. | bowlesy | 19/10/2014 |
From parking to south on minor road as Tim747. Tree clearance ongoing. Went up FP to ridge-track, followed over south top, past trig and to dull summit. Hazy, misty day so views limited. | nordicstar | 20/04/2014 |

Parked at 62235 37930, took the track to the ridge, then stealthily avoided the man with the gun and dogs en-route to the top. Trig and S top on return, exiting the woods on the ROW. Pheasants don’t seem to understand the word stealth! | tim747 | 18/10/2013 |
Visited summit via the track to within 10m of trig point - overgrown with many nettles. Returned to SO 62073832 to set up SOTA ham radio. Operated with Geoff Fielding M6PYG. From car to trig point took us 13 minutes. | G4OBK (Phil) | 14/07/2013 |
Parked nr the top of the lane from Durlow Common on a verge by a field entrance and walked to the public footpath. On the ridge, we then walked NW to the trig (this is behind a barbed wire fence) and then on to the summit. Views are hidden by the hedgerows. Walked back to the start and then on a little further to the second summit. Rather disappointing walk. | hmt1000 | 27/05/2013 |

Squeezed into a parking spot at 622379, ROW to Jones Coppice then along the ridge to trig point and Sheepcote Hill (the Marilyn top). Told by an estate worker there was no path and not to go up the road to the summit but did so anyway when he was out of sight. No welcome here, bag it as quick as you can. | pwheeler | 08/08/2011 |
Parked at entrance to track at SO 62250 37913. Walked up track then along ridge to highest point. On way back bagged trig and southern summit. Spot height is 10m into rape field for southern summit. Brother Ed now ardent rape field bagger!! | David Gradwell | 26/04/2011 |
Climbed gate and ascended track to Bunkers Hill then along the ridge for both tops. Informed that 'that was a raid into private property' by two shooters unwittingly standing near my camouflaged bike on return. | Eddie | 16/04/2011 |

Had previously logged this, then deleted it as we only did the trig, and didn't think we had done the hill summit. But reviewing the track we walked, discovered we actually did the summit also. From Durlow Common, E to Wren's Nest then SW to ridge path. NW on ridge to summit, then returned SE for trig and then S Top before returning to start point. | jonglew | 19/06/2010 |

Solo. Parked car in Park Coppice. Up a track (not shown on OS 1:50,000 map, sheet 149, Edition B2) towards Seager Hill. There is a long, nearly level summit ridge running SE-NW with a track almost on the summit line. The trig point is not at the highest point. I walked on until clearly going downhill and the back, going to one side in brambles for the highest point, which is not marked on the ground. I retraced my outward route. | pwbellarby | 02/05/2008 |

Date is first visit. Notes from later...summit is 3rd bump from E, no access problems encountered (Sunday), not recommended from village to W. park @ 623382, BW then (private) FP to summit | RHW | 10/10/1999 |

A point on a long ridge. Contretemps with keeper about only going as far as trig- no access, etc. | arranc | 29/08/1998 |
There is room for 2 or 3 cars at SO622379, from where a RoW leads up to the ridge. From the ridge the SE top is only 150 metres away, and the main summit is about 1.4km to the NE. The ridge is wide and clear, and open to horse riders 'with a licence' - so why not to walkers too? In the event I went to the summit and back without any problem. The ridge path has the feel of a route which was a RoW, but which the landowner has managed to get closed. | David Purchase | 15/03/1998 |
I tried routes from the north, but there were shooting parties out. A polite request at the Estate Office for access at a better time of year was met with the rudest refusal I have ever had. The Estate Manager ostentatiously recorded my car registration number as I left: I decided not to go back and tell him I was changing the car the following week! Better luck a few months later. | David Purchase | 23/10/1997 |
