|With Val. From Vercor Close. Easy footpath to summit. Great view into large quarry. Also went to the high spot to the east just in case! Good weather.||mike.hoult||30/09/2019|
|Good path to summit from Coalville. Bagged with Henry Marston for his 600th||Buteobuteo||14/09/2019|
|My 600th Marilyn, having recced the start from Vercor Close on return from a springtime expedition to the south east. Conveniently, there was an Orienteering event at Loughborough to define the date. Joined by Antony Whitehead, Kevin Palmer, Andrew Wilkinson, daughter Maya (with Pixie) and her friend Kira. Kevin and Andrew's local knowledge found the direct route up (early right turn) with some rough footpaths near the summit, but the easier down the track with short climb up steps linking tracks on the way down.||henryfm||14/09/2019|

|With E. A warm sunny day. From Vercor Close along Ivanhoe Way to summit trig point. Also visited rock tor near telecomms masts as reported to be similar height.||Beeliner||26/07/2019|
|Parked in small parking area down the road from Abbots Oak near Greenhill Farm - Diverted path round quarry lands edge takes you to the mast with the summit and trig beyond through the wood (you drop a bit to rise again). Impressive summit only a few metres from the summit with a 300m drop into the quarry.||briandavies||13/07/2019|
|Out Closest Marilyn, Wasn't expecting much of a walk but was pleasantly surprised. 7.2m circular starting at Mount St Bernard Abbey, across Warren Hills then bit of road to Bardon Hill Summit. Returned via Timberwood Hill and the nature reserve. Lovely quiet sunny day. Be Aware of Footpath Diversions and closures to the south of the summit area due to the quarry works||Jephcote83||12/05/2019|
|On a run from Thornton Reservoir. National Forest nice. Industrial Estate less so.||dc96||23/04/2019|
|From the footpath to the S of Brook Farm and Old Hall Farm. Note that the Ivanhoe Way and path leading from Poplar Farm to the SE have been diverted and can't be used. This was my 900th hill bagged. Walked with wife Sarah, son Toby, step daughter Libby and her boyfriend Rylan.||Wheelsy||13/04/2019|

|Vercor Close start. If you don't have a GPS and have just a screen-grab map on your phone and you're walking in the heavy mist then this might assist you!
From Vercor Cl follow Ivanhoe Way sign through gate. Continue straight then dog-leg left/right through trees. After the right turn continue up the slope and keep going past a stone bench and through a kissing gate until you turn right to get to the big transmitter. The trig point is about 200m past the transmitter along an undulating rocky path.
It's beautifully positioned on a small rocky outcrop. Shame there was no view in the mist!||jedthehumanoid||16/11/2018|
|I walked up to the trigpoint while geocaching in the area.||Alancache||15/11/2018|

|Beacon Hill- Birch Hill- Bardon Hill. Sadly, the lovely footpath from Bardon Hill to Copt Oak is gone... the rolling green fields giving way to a noisy dusty brown quarry, and the footpath has been diverted to the dual carriageway meaning a long busy road walk to Copt Oak.
Birch Hill summit isn't accessible by public paths, you would have to climb a wall and fight through the undergrowth, although a footpath does run by it||Endurance Adventures||20/07/2018|
|With Jo, from Agar Nook Lane along Ivanhoe Way and track direct to both tops. Weather; sunny, warm, good visibility.||amblerbob||26/03/2018|
