Walked from the south-west via the hillfort, free parking on Hale Lane. Pleasant walk up through the woods and not too busy today. Lots of very nice fungi around.sturuss06/01/2024
Parked in a layby on the road to the E, just after the dog rescue home. Short walk up the fp to visit hp and Chiltern hp rock. Solorichard6911/12/2023
A five mins trot up from the minor road. Lovely autumn colours not spoilt by heavy continuous rain.Play2End14/11/2023
I agree with what someone else put, my least favourite Marylin! We were in the area so thought we would stop off, it’s a nice enough place but not the best walk, the summit was not wel signposted.JMB24601/07/2023
Parked in main parking facility for wendover woods. Walked from car park and reached summit in around 10 minutes.JXNJP01/07/2023

Walked here from Tring Park via Pavis Wood, return route via lunch at the cafe, a visit to the Gruffalo and the hill fort. Return walk much hillier feeling than outward walk!catie08/04/2023

Parked at Go Ape. £2.70 for 2 hours. Map by toilets shows location of the summit cairn. Large stone in the woods placed by the Chiltern Society marks the high point.RowanP21/08/2022
A round of Wendover Woods and Pavis Wood from The Hale. Both summit points uncertain so walked in circles for a while. God knows what the onlookers thought.summitter15/08/2022
Walked up the steep Fitness Trail from Wendover, then off a little trail from the car park road to the summit. A very hot day! Quite a busy area with the Go Ape centre and café, but no one else interested in the summit. No views from the summit, but there is a viewpoint to the south which offers a nice view of Weston Turville Reservoir. Continued onwards to Pavis Wood.hillbagger9110/08/2022

From Hale Lane along Outer Aylesbury Ring. Summit is ground by tree on other side of fence.peter4lc06/03/2022
Re-Re-Visit to bag the relocated summit. Parked in the main Car Park which was free as there was an event on. Visited the old and new summit areas then did the Gruffalo Trail.Jephcote8312/12/2021
Done as part of a stunning Autumn run in the woods starting from near Halton Camp . Actually been up there many times but never with the intent to record as a tick. The large fly in the ointment of this hill is the sight and location of the horrendous visitor car park they have built.Gareth188619/11/2021
Did Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire's County Tops with my cousin, 10 Mile long walk and probably 3 hours in the dark as well. Bad planning, but good to get them both done.DavidHiner09/11/2021

This was my first intentional County Top! So, even though there isn't any magnificent view by the stone at the top, I was pretty excited to get here! I walked from Wendover, up a rather steep path at the end of Beechwood Land, to get to the Buckinghamshire County Top, then continued, through Northill Wood, to Pavis Wood, the County Top of Hertfordshire! Finished the day by walking through the beautiful Tring Park, where there is a magnificent view, and down into Tring!Sidders S22/09/2021
Pavis Wood > Northill Wood > Wendover Wood (Cairn and summit) > Aston Hill > Buckland Hoo > Fox Lane > Pavis Wood. Fine circular walk on paths.Winterfloodian21/09/2021
From bridleway heading east from Wendover. Up steep footpath. Then along Outer Aylesbury Ring bridleway direct to summit just off the tarmac over the fence. Access gained via path by car park exit barrier, so no need to climb over fence! KeithByTheC11/09/2021

Easy walk from the car park, then over to Pavis Wood for the Herts onecjwilliams23/07/2021
Parked by Hole Lane Vineyard then followed the Outer Aylesbury ring to the summit and a nice circular route back through the golf course and then down and along the canal. The public footpath does go through the golf course, it just isn't immediately obvious but the very helpful old boy working there showed me the way and was super nice! Good bench on the edge of the fairway to stop for spot of lunch too. Canal-side path is a bit muddy in places, but other than that a very pleasant circular route and one I may repeat.jamiequackers04/07/2021
Second summit of the day. It’s marked by a large stone at the edge of a wood so easy to findpclyndes11/06/2021

Parked in forestry car park and followed the waymarked path which takes you a roundabout route to the top away from the road. Beautiful spring woodland with lots of flowers and new leaves on the beech woods. Excellent views from the hill fort 1 km SE along the marked 'tellow' trail as the summit is in woodland on a bit of a plateau. https://www.strava.com/activities/5275402612SlowOl10/05/2021
4th ascent of my local Marilyn. 13 mile circular from Marsworth, following canal to Tring then following field paths across to Wigginton and Hastoe then to country park over Wendover Woods descending to Aston Clinton and along disused canal arm back to car. Sunny and breezy, a lot of people about at the country parks.DanTrig02/05/2021
Nice stroll round and straight up the side of the fort.Stevooo10/04/2021
Revisit for new summit, while trigging in the area - although if the one-way system was in place during my 1999 visit I'll have virtually driven over it. Entry gate closed to vehicles at 5pm - so I walked in from SSE via Coombe Hill trig, finding a bonus cut BM at start :-)RHW05/04/2021
