5.6 mile circular from Kingston car park. We walked up the road east of the village and the ascended the hill easily along the lovely grassy ridge to summit and trig. Great views west from top. Once bagged we followed the muddy permissive path east of Rope Lake Head to the coast path. From here because of recent bad weather the whole coast path was a mud bath and we had to divert into fields to avoid parts of it. Once we got onto Houns-Tout Cliff we found out the path was diverted inland because of a recent cliff fall. We headed back to the car and shelved the rest of the walk to Swanage. Hopefully we'll be back at a better time of year! First hill of the day. Afterwards we drove to and bagged Knowle Hill and Chalbury.DanTrig09/03/2024

Walk from car park west of Grange Arch. Povington hill, Worbarrow Tout, Tyneham cap, then into Tyneham abandoned village for a look around. Very interesting and quite busy despite the persistent rain all day. Back out through the cows to Swyre Head, Knowle hill, creech barrow and Ridgeway hill. Great views throughout despite the rain.Buck01/05/2022

On a 9 mile walk from Kingston- did the Marilyn then down to Kimmeridge, along the coast path to Hounstout Cliff, and back. The Dorset coastal strip has lots of good walks and this is one of them. Sunny on coast most of time but massive thunderstorms built inland- typical Glastonbury Festival weatherpwheeler27/06/2014
