Easy up-and-down from A35 roadside parking in the village. We took the good path from the road west and climbed up to the featureless summit. Average views on a grey morning. The last Dorset Marilyn for us. This was the second hill of the day. Earlier we bagged The Knoll and afterwards we drove to and bagged Shipton Hill.DanTrig11/03/2024
Complete contrast to earlier Lambert's Castle. No one else there possibly because it looks like it's often very soggy. Frozen today.Newton Maximus16/01/2024
Parked in the layby to the east of the hill. Nice walk up. Underwhelming summit, but great views of Golden Cap and out to sea to the north.islamidget26/09/2023
Parked in a layby on the minor road due E. Top was in cloud but found the copse and wandered around in the heather due N. Descended to the SE, crossed the main road and up to Langdon Hill and Golden Cap, where the cloud began to lift with some limited coastline visible. Returned via Shedbush Farm as time was getting short. With Gillian.richard6928/07/2023
With Lesley. Parked east side went from north to south.. decent views.Nick Canute19/05/2023

From the bakery. Walked east and up the right hand minor road then left onto lane and followed path up to ridge. Up to summit then off west and down lane, crossed over A35 at crossing, then slightly right then down lane to left and up over Golden Cap, back around Langdon Hill Car oark track, then back along paths to road beside bakery. 4.8 mile loop.JulieB24/02/2023
Managed to park at junction of Verriots's Lane and Gibb's Lane. Great short steep climb from there.KevPalmer09/01/2023

With J during a few days in Somerset. After Lewesdon Hill on a showery day. Parked by the bakery on the A35, W along the road & then up the minor road & on to the RoW. Rather an indistinct top but it is worth wandering around the plateau for the views in various directions. Back by the same route & then on to Lyme Regis for a wander along the beach & ice cream.NotReallyABagger06/10/2020

2/5 From farm shop carpark, out and back. No rain, breezy. Rounsfell27/06/2020
From lay-by on A35 next to Moore's Biscuit Bakery opposite Annie's tea shop. West along main road, then up Gibbs Lane to foot path on up to the copse. Proper saturated peat bog. Completed circuit by returning by path down to Ryall Road then by Sun Lane which emerges beside Annie's. Nice saunter around, but the top least pleasing. Bakery better though.Pete West21/02/2020
Parked in a layby East in Ryall. Footpath leads up towards the mast where it meets a track going South towards a small copse. HP in heather just North of this copse.fosal2930/10/2019

Clockwise circuit from Moores biscuit shop on A35. Misty on the hill, making for an inauspicious entry into the Marilyn Hall of Fame. Impoved by a couple of celebratory pints of Palmers in the Anchor Inn at Seatown. KeithByTheC11/09/2018
Really nice hill. Pity about the mist and drizzle.Topographer5711/08/2018
Parked in layby E of summit, just S of Ryall. Easy bag on public footpathsCrib Goch06/05/2018
Circular run from Stonebarrow Hill - Hardown Hill - Golden Cap and back along coast path. Golden Cap is the best hill of the three!twg2706/05/2018
Parked in a small layby to the east of the hill, and took a steep footpath upwards, part of which has been recently strimmed. Unfortunately, the top part could do with the same treatment. This emerges on a track around the summit, but there's a shortcut up a small flinty path. Headed towards the summit through the plantation, and stood on the turf wall. Also visited the highest looking bits of moor below the wall, so I don't have to come back, it's not exactly a great hill.Gill24/01/2018
With K from north. Peasant hill with moorland summit.Ashley17/11/2017

Nice easy short walk from road and layby to south of Ryall. Turning left off road path signposted to right contouring round the summits NE flank. At boundary to Open Access I turned left at path junction then headed straight over heather to summit, though if stay on path for a little longer will pick up vehicle track which heads south taking you more or less to summit on your left. Highest point is on fence line to west of coppice. Wandered around coppice looking for higher natural high point which I reckon is adjacent to highest point on fence line mentioned above.mntainman19/12/2016
Start of days walk from Morecombelake, walked up road from village to NT notice board, then took path via mast to the pine wood. Walked around in circles following satnav. Returned to mast and followed path north down to Ryall.Buteobuteo24/11/2016
Circular walk with Golden Cap.tomd403/11/2016
Parked on small lane to East and followed track up towards the common land. Once you are near summit the going is hard with heather and lumpy ground. Takes some working out. Reasonable path to take us North and back in a circle afterwards.nickywood108/09/2016
Parked at 404948 opposite bungalow followed footpath a few tens of metres south up onto National Trust land. Nice hill.rogreeves30/08/2016
