2nd HuMP of 6 for the day and 1st of 2 Marilyns. Started from car park at SZ42027 84530 followed Worsley trail then turned left up Tennyson trail to top of hill. Trig point off to right up shot cul-de-sac perched on top of highest natural ground. Returned to track and rather than following ascent route back to van, turned right continuingcontinuing along Tennyson Trail before turning left towards Calbourne Bottom taking care to fork right off main track at SZ42942 84878.mntainman22/09/2020
Followed the ridge line from Tennyson Down - enjoyable walk but the only disappointing summit on the IoW due to the trees. Headed back to Calbourne for the bus (with a very handy pub right by the bus stop). This was my final Marilyn in section 42.Richard13/09/2020

A day trip from Cardiff by public transport - yes it was a long day! After the last leg of a bus from Newport to Calbourne I walked up here, initally along the road (a little busy) then through the fields (lovely) then the wood (less interesting). Disappointing not to have any views after all that! Last Marilyn south of Manchester for me.Father Ted24/05/2019
