Start of Mamores Circuit, but taking in the 10 munros and tops. Two camps on the ridge, 18 hrs on the move and 42km. Great adventure! | Nicky C | 29/05/2023 |
climbed as part of the 4 East Mamores, excellent day out on my own. | Kevthecat | 03/06/2022 |
From Kinlochleven parking (free) at NN187623, along constructed paths of Grey Mare's trail, then over bridge and up brutally steep zig-zags to Mamore Lodge and up stalker's path to bealach at 783m. | Isbjorn 3rd Round | 27/05/2021 |
via Sgurr Eilde Beag and NG - with Skye - who was definitely fitter than me.
A long way down | Scmccabe | 03/04/2021 |
At last, after several failed hikes (due to my laziness e.g. not getting out of bed) I bagged another two Munros today, meaning I have now bagged 141 out of 282 or 50% since August 2016 and that’s 33 this year alone, only 2 pre lockdown.

I stayed at the Red Squirrel campsite in Glencoe last night and headed over to Kinlochleven for 09:30am this morning. Heading up a steep stalkers path to the Munro Top of Sgor Eilde Beag (956m), then my 140th Munro of Binnein Mor (1130m), before doubling back and getting the Munro Top of Binnein Mor South Top (1062m).

From here I made my way up the boulder field to my 141st Munro, Na Gruagaichean (1056m), after a short lunch break to celebrate with a cheese roll, I headed over to the Munro Top of Na Gruagaichean North West Top (1041m). There was an interesting loose section between these two summits, which I wasn’t expecting. The descent from the NW Top follows a stalkers path down into Coire na Ba, then out to Kinlochleven.

It was a beautiful | chillyman8 | 02/10/2020 |
From Sgor Eilde Beag. Cloud clearing from the hills like jungle mist, The Ben appearing as if curtains being slowly opened. Can't think of enough superlatives to describe this walk. We were lucky that there was enough cloud to create atmospheric lighting and give intermittent protection from the fierce sun. Was just breezy enough to linger at the summit for luncheon, before descending west to the bealach marked 783 and following the path (difficult to follow mid-mountain) back to Mamore Lodge. 26 degrees at Kinlochleven. A superb mountain day, 9 hours including stops. | Wycombe Wanderer | 13/08/2020 |
Debs & Tali, followed the Salomon Mamores VK up. Then down the long way. | Mountain Goat | 20/09/2019 |

The paths from Na Gruagaichean are very eroded now. An awful long descent to Kinlochleven by the meandering path; even worse than I remember. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 27/08/2018 |

The Mamores Traverse: Started at Glen Nevis (06.45) and did all Munros and tops from west to east eventually staggering down to Kinlochleven 12.5 hrs later. Taxi back to HF Glencoe after a well earnt pint in the Tailrace. Best bit: hopping along Sgurr a Mhaim. Worst bit: choosing a direct descent from Binnein Mor in fellrunning shoes with sore feet. | jigglybones | 08/08/2007 |
