From Ben Tirran, then down the good path to the hotel. A weird summit. An ancient landslip created a long shelf along the edge of the plateau, a couple of metres below the summit, with some big fissures. And there seems to have been a much more recent big landslip in one place just north of the summt.Pete R22/08/2020

Up from Glen Clova Hotel car park. Set off at 6.20 am, peaceful. Loch Brandie picturesque. Straight up this peak. Nice corrie. Paid respects to Luke Ireland memorial on way to Green Hill. Company: Soloiandesbottes23/05/2017
Anticlockwise around Loch Brandy with Mark, Hamish and Huey from Glen Clova Hotel carpark.Saggers29/04/2017
Fair Weather, Minimal SW Breeze. Great walking conditions and visibility. Snow rifts beginning to form despite a spell of recent warm weather. Ascent in November around the horseshoe was far worse conditions. Snow is a 2-3ft deep in passing places on paths. Towards the summit edges, the snow rifts are deep and loose, so proceed with caution especially with dogs at edges.Jase27/12/2016

Cairngorm Club Bus meet. With a fellow member. From the car park at the end of the Glen Esk road. We walked along the track on the north side of Loch Lee and up the glen past Falls of Unich and Falls of Damff to a ruined building where the path ends. We followed a burn to the summit of Muckle Cairn before joining another path. We left it to go over White Hill (855m) to reach the summit of Ben Tirran (The Goet). We then headed for Green Hill where we met some other club members. We walked together round the rim above Loch Brandy to the Snub. We had time in hand so we decided on an extension to Boustie Ley, descending via Ben Reid. Weather was excellent.pwbellarby06/10/2002
Climbed from Clova on a round of Loch Brandy. Clear conditions and hard packed snow. The Pentlands and Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh could be seen to the south.Windy Corner28/01/2001
On a Ballater-Glen Markie-Glen Doll- Braemar- Loch Avon- Aviemore walking tour (day 2). In thick cloud, path around escarpment L from Green Hill made this simple though. There were glimpses down to Loch Brandy from about 300 ft below The Snub top- down a well defined ridge, but the main cloud base quickly lowered to 1500 ft with drizzle. Nice to get in the Clova Hotel.pwheeler13/06/1999
